Would have liked in bedroom but ended up in living room. The darkest it gets still lights up the room well enough to get around the room and see where I'm walking, which is too bright for me for sleeping.If it seems not to be dimming, give it a few minutes. Like boiling water, takes longer when you're watching.

Remember to place a battery in it so you don’t loose the memory due to a power outage. All features work great. Easy to set up.

Sharp and bright display. Each display segment is nicely lit uniformly. However, I would not recommend this clock for a small bedroom though. Auto dimming does work but still WAY too bright at night. It keeps the whole room visible at night. It is perfect for a living room.

You know the coworker who gives you the information you did not ask for, but need to know? That is this clock. You see the day of week (highlighted in color to stand out) and the date (highlighted in color to stand out), as well as the temperature - not just the time of day. That is more information that you would expect from a clock that is not an atomic clock, and all of it is a welcome reminder for orientation and planning.I enjoy being able to glance in one place to obtain all the information I need to determine what my next move is and the color scheme combined with the lack of glare, makes it easy to read and understand. I sometimes get really busy and forget all day long what day it is, what date it is, on top of needing to know the time. This clock answers and also throws in the temp, so I know if I need a jacket to take the dog out.They provide a fantastic mounting hook, but I already had a screw hanging out of the wall from the analog this replaced, so I didn't use it. My experience with those hooks is that they are very effective and this one looks like two fused together into an upside down V, so I would expect it to hold the clock very well with no issues. The cord is very long and the excess wraps around the back of the clock so it is not draping in the way and there is a small notch cut out of the frame so the cord can exit the back of the clock without pushing the clock away from the wall. And the remote control, although I did not use it to set the clock up, was very helpful for adjusting the brightness (which has 10 levels and can be set to automatic or manual adjustment). I'm happy with this clock and all of its features and options and think it is very clever. It draws my attention and gives me an update every time I look in that direction.
