There aren't twenty in the pack
I'm very pleased with the product itself, but there are (as some reviews on amazon.com note) only eight fire fuses in a pack. Nonetheless, if you need a flame in the worst conditions this is the thing to buy. They may be pricey but you won't be quibbling when you need them and they work.

Not a firework lighting cord!
Totally misleading advertising, 10 inches long at the top of the product details then further down 4 inches in centimetres, better be good for the price, we were hoping to be using them for lighting fireworks, donโt think so!

Longest Burning, Most Compact Tinder. No Nasty Chemical Smell.
Effective and compact. I carry this and magnesium which I scrape with a carbide ferro striker/sharpener which is also good for deburring blades or a zircon ceramic bead that can shatter side and rear auto glass in a pinch. These are compact cotton tinder impregnated with olive oil and beeswax. I prefer to carry separate zigzag medical cotton and a tiny tube of petrolatum (designed for lip treatment) because they are far less messy and multi-use than pre-mixing, but these are great for very small form factor survival/self-recovery kits. Fluff them up to catch a spark or leave tied for longer burn.

I would not recommend this product for your fire kit
I would not recommend this product for your fire kit. After a few attempts to start a fire with these using everything from a fire steel to a windproof lighter, I finally gave up and used some dry grass instead. I puffed up a few of these sticks so as to get as much surface area as possible. The product just didn't do the job.

Awesome product !
I love these fire fuses ! They are waterproof and work really well to help get a fire started. If you pull these apart and fray them , to increase their surface area , you can light these easily with a metal match. These are great to carry as an emergency assist item for times when lighting a fire is difficult.

better than gsa/ust/exotac
better than gsa/ust/exotac,etc tinders a like, but if not store in a small bag or matches box... it leaves stains I'm guessing it's because of the olive oil but it performs flawlessly even with some patience, with solar lighters

Great fire starters
Great little fire starters that you can light with a ferro rod or a lighter. They basically do the same thing as homemade options, but these are nice and compact and loaded with plenty of wax for a good burn time. Update 07/2017: I still love these fire starters. I used one this past week to get a campfire going with no trouble. Fluffed up one end, hit it with sparks from my ferro rod, and it started burning. Within 5 minutes I had a good fire going. I also use the Pocket Bellows to help get the fire going and keep it going when it dies down. Both are a staple in my fire starting kit. Getting ready to order more to have on hand.
