Brabantia Sort & Go Recycling Trash Can 3.2 Gallons (12L)(Gray), Space-Efficient Plastic Garbage Can with Handle, Removable and Stay-Open Lid, Easy to Clean Kitchen Bin Without Nooks and Rims

I never thought I could love a trash can this much. Okay so it’s really overpriced, but it’s also pretty amazing. I bought this like so many others, as an alternative to the Litter Genie. I have 3 cats and 2 gigantic litter boxes that need daily cleaning. Enter this trash can. I decided on this because it does not need overpriced proprietary liners. It’s a trash can, and uses trash bags (the newer thicker shopping bags fit too). I decided to put to ability to hold smells to the test. I dropped the freshest of turds in this bad boy and shut the lid. You could not smell a thing! I have a VERY sensitive sense of smell and even standing right next to it, there was no smell. However prepare yourself once you open it, the smell is horrendous. That is to be expected. The smell doesn’t disappear, but it is expertly trapped. DO NOT open it with week old cat turds while standing right above it (you’re welcome). The handle is great, the lid does not snap shut, but rather sits on top. A smart dog could get inside it as could a toddler. I love it. I also have 2 dogs and use this to clean their “yard presents”. I plan on buying a second to dedicate for that purpose. I do wish the lid stood up on its own a little better but that does not diminish how great it is.

I am an owner of three long haired cats. I have spent literally hours looking for a replacement for the Litter Genies I have. I own two of those, and have grown to hate them since I use the bottom half to put a SimpleHuman line instead of getting the refills since they are so ungodly expensive for what you get, rendering the storage capacity to about half of what the unit actually could hold. I've purchased and returned several options for a replacement for these Litter Genies, and finally found a sufficient replacement! I love how the top lifts up on the Brabantia to insert the bag. It is made of a durable plastic. It is a good size and has a good looking profile/design too. I haven't put mine to use yet, so I can't speak for its odor containment abilities, but this shouldn't be an issue considering other reviewers who are using these for compost and poo bins. I will be purchasing the SimpleHuman Code E bags (20 L) to line these since they are likely to be thicker than the Code C (10-12L), and better sustain the weight of used cat litter. I added pictures, including one next to the Litter Genie for visual of size comparison. They are similar sizes, but this waste bin is much simpler to use and cheaper to line than the Litter Genie while maximizing your bin capacity. PRICE BREAKDOWN: * SimpleHuman Liners - $43/240 Liners * Litter Genie Refills - $75/12 Refills (~60 Total Uses) This equates to about $0.18 per SimpleHuman use, and $1.25 per Litter Genie use. This is roughly a 150% difference. Pretty significant cost reduction there. Bottom line, for anyone looking for an alternative to the Litter Genie for litter disposal, this would be your best bet. I'll be purchasing a third one to store away to use when I can convince my guy to let me adopt another Ragdoll... :) Edit: Updated to comment on odor containment. As expected, it does an excellent job!

This is my second Sort and Go Bin. The first bin was for collecting kitty litter since I scoop several times during the day The tall sides and removable lid hold and support the biodegradable bags that I use. It is compact and sturdy and no odor is experienced in the surrounding area during the day. Top of bag where I tie it is nice and clean when I remove it from the bin at the end of the day. Attractive sleek design and fits perfectly next to the litter box. The handle is sturdy when I pull it out while scooping. This additional bin will be used for my laundry room to put lint and such in. Love how these come with a bracket and screws so they can attach to the wall or inside a cupboard on the door.

Needs some air holes for circulation of air. I have it mounted to side of my garage, and when I go to empty it out or put a new poop bag in there, OMG the smell. Other than that it’s just what I needed for outside storage of poop bags until trash days.

We bought this to throw away wet cat food cans near where our cat is fed. We thought with the odor control this would be useful as they don't smell great to begin with. Well it worked too well. We unexpectedly left a couple of cans in it for a few days longer than normal and while outside there was 0 smell inside was awful (I will not describe how much). We closed it and you couldn't smell it. Once we took out the bag it didn't smell at all inside the can. If you need order control this works just be careful opening it.

After looking at kitty litter pails and waste baskets for hours and hours (how much time should one spend with something like this anyway?) I am glad I kept looking because this is perfect. Just the right size for litter, not too small, and yet not so big that if you fill it it is going to be impossibly heavy to carry. And it has a handle to help drag it over to the litter box, and a hinged lid to cover the not so attractive contents. The whole top, with the lid, lifts off. Don't know if this is good or bad, but just for the record...

No dislikes at all. I bought the 12 L, originally to throw my food scraps it. Felt very sturdy. Very easy to clean. Love that it had a handle for easy transport and the lid had a good seal which kept the bugs and smell away. Which is the main reason why I purchased it. Now I’m using it as a waste basket in the bathroom and it’s also perfect. It’s has served many purposes!

I can't believe how long we went without something like this given the number of poop bags we got through every day. We got the black one for the backyard and mounted it to our black metal fence without a problem, but the bracket that you attach the can to is white, so it doesn't look great from the back but it works. When it was REALLY windy the top flew off and during a crazy storm the whole thing popped off the bracket but it didn't have any dings or marks, still looks great and slid right back on the bracket. While attached, the lid lifts up at the front to put the garbage in. There's also a long handle on it, but it's not the right shape/length such that you can hang it on anything from the handle. when mounted, the handle folds flush with tht bin and you can't see it.

Elegante, pratica, robusta, colori originali e bellissimi. Come persona con gusti austeri, ero in po' in dubbio per i colori. Ma si abbinano perfettamente. Anche la gamma di misure diverse mi piace. Funzionalita' + bellezza in cucina, bagno, altrove. Certo, design intelligente e materiali robusti e facili a pulire, costano un po' di piu'. Vale la pena comprare marchi come Brabantia? Per me si'. Anche un oggetto umile come una pattumiera puo' regalare piccoli momenti di felicita'. Come diceva William Morris, "Have nothing in your house which you do not know to be useful and believe to be beautiful."

Good, plain and simple. But not a value for money.

J'avais acheté un petit modèle de 6L pour mes déchets d'impression 3D et une de 12L pour mon bureau, j'aime beaucoup ces petites poubelles qui ne sont pas trop moches et pratique avec leur poignées. La 12L est venue avec des sacs poubelles (pas la 6L), les deux sont venues avec leur système d'accroche et des vis/chevilles. Par contre attention, ils ont tendance à grossir les dimensions ! - La petite est donnée pour L20 x P24.9 x H18.1 cm, je mesure L18.4 x P24.6 x H18. Donc déjà c'est plus petit mais c'est en comptant le couvercle, si on retire le couvercle, le bac en lui même fait L17.1 x P23.3 x H17.5. - La grande est donnée pour L20 x P24.9 x H35.1, je mesure L18.3 x P24.7 x H35.1 avec couvercle et L L17.9 x P23.4 x H34.6. Ce n'est pas énorme, mais c'est quand même là.
