It takes some getting used to. A game that’s not really a “game” in the roll the dice, make a decision, and pass the dice to the next person. This is a game of wits that’s best played when the game has been forgotten. It’s best played with six, but can be played with less. The more, the better, in my experience. It requires planning, cunning, and patience. And, simply reading the directions in the box doesn’t provide the context to actual game play. Don’t expect to play Card Assassins on its own. You’ll be silently disappointed. No one will say a thing. Whip-out the deck at the beginning of dinner with friends, or a weekend with relatives, or any gathering where interaction is a given. Combine it with Pictionary, Chess, Poker, whatever. The possibilities are endless, as is the fun you’ll have. Don’t play it with sore losers.

This is a fast pace and nice game that is played in the background. You don’t need to sit around a table and play this game. In fact, it is better be played in situations like parties, camping and other things like these when you are busy doing other things and distracted a bit already haha. The game can be played in multiple rounds or just a single round if you want and start over after that. It says the game takes over 30 minutes each time, but honestly, in my opinion it can vary a lot. You maybe able to finish it a lot faster than that even. It is very easy to learn and play, since there are not many complicated cards in the game.Game play:There are three main types of cards; kill cards, assassin cards and target cards. The objective of the game is to assassinate as many players as you can by getting them to say one of the kill words on your kill card. You get dealt one kill card, one assassin card and the associated target card at the beginning of the game. You need to get the target to say one of the words on your kill card. You will then replace your cards with the target that you assassinated and get new target and kill words. You win the game by having more kills than your opponents.Pros:1- It can be played in the background. You don’t need to sit around the table like other games and just play this. It can easily be played on your camping trip and just spice things up a little bit while you are doing other stuff.Cons:1- The assassins having specific targets that they go for is not necessary. In fact, it will make the game kind of less exciting over time. You can easily have all the players aim for each other with the kill words with no limits in my opinion!Overall, I would recommend this game as a fun side game😊.

The concept of the game is cool, but it doesn't feel like a game you can play with 3 people. Maybe we are terrible at subtle inquiries, or amazing at noticing when someone's being weird, but it very much fell flat for us, even as a background game for a weekend. Maybe it would be more fun with a larger group, or with people who didn't know each other well and might have a reason to have some very unique conversations, but unless someone forgets they're playing the game, you can't randomly bring up some of the topics without looking very suspicious. We'll probably use the cards for Pictionary cues or something like that.

Bought these for a family gathering. Really fun because you can play it through the day, weekend while you’re doing other things. There were 6 of us and we had a blast. Thinking about taking it to work to play with my co-workers everyday.

So much fun!!! Highly recommend if you’re a game night person. You play this game while playing other games.

We bring this to every Scout trip now. Helps to have lanyards and badge holders so all the kids remember who they are/who everyone else is. Not recommended for canoe trips unless your badge holders are waterproof, as the cards aren't laminated. This is why I have to repurchase (but I don't mind at all).
