Very cute toy but the yarn split easily.

The Vega.Z Crochet Kit for Beginners is something I'm happy with.The kit shipped well with minimal packaging. It emitted no weird odors or chemical-like smells. It comes in a pull-to-open zip-top packaging bag, in which you can keep all the items stored while creating the projects.The set includes everything you need to complete four fun and reuseable ornaments from start to finish! I like the bright, vibrant color and the fun, fuzzy textures of the yarn!I appreciate that the instructions are mostly easy to follow and available in both written form and video (just scan the QR code and you'll get a link to find them). I think whatever the written instructions, the video can visually give you the right idea if you are confused about anything. That said, I would specify that these are an advanced beginner project, but I feel someone not as advanced can complete them with enough determination.The items are decent quality for the price. The crochet hooks are great because they are easy to hold and wield, whatever your preferred holding style. The size is embedded in the handle and won't rub off. The tip is rounded, and there are no rough parts at all.The yarn quality is decent. It is a little split, but not too bad.I like this kit and feel like a beginner can finish these projects from start to finish with the variety of instructions given.I love the fact that this is priced so well, and you'll have ornaments to gift or use for yourself year after year!Recommended.

I personally don't think is a good beginner pattern if you are just starting out and have no crochet experience. It was not pre started as stated on the packaging, and the yarn is not the best quality, not that I expected premium yarn, but maybe something a little nicer that didn't split constantly. The pattern did not give any stitch definitions or instructions how to make a stitch. It assumes you have basic knowledge of crochet terminology and how to do a magic circle or any of the stitches used, and how to do color changes. It also didn't indicate where the color changes would be, you have to watch the video to figure that out. The video was ok, but again, it assumes you have basic knowledge of crochet.On the plus side, I really liked the crochet hook and stitch markers that were included, and the squeeze balls were good quality.If you have knowledge of basic crochet stitches and terminology, and pattern reading experience, I think you should be fine. But if you're going in with no experience, I recommend watching some how-to videos and practicing a little first. There are tons of them out there.

I already crochet, so wasn't looking for a "learn to crochet" kit but I was looking for the kit to make these. First the yarn is the worst ever, it splits really badly. Second the instructions are not written like normal crochet pattern instructions so anyone trying to learn would have a really tough go it. The saving is the tutorial but even that is somewhat dependent on prior knowledge. Cute idea but, definitely not for a beginner and after receiving the product not worth the price.

While the quality and design is great I will say this is more for adult beginners than pre-teen/child beginner. Crocheting in rounds is tricky and this involves that. The design in super cute, but a little more guidance was required for my daughter than I anticipated having to give.

The video doesn't have words, but the pattern is there and they do go through each stitch. I haven't gotten through it yet. Im about halfway done. Mostly because the yarn is crap. It frays and separates and is just fuzzy enough to make the stitches hard to see and thus hard to count. I love the idea of the stressball inside, which is why I bought it, but I may try the next one with a different yarn than what came with the kit.

Maybe this is begginer for some people - but I might need whatever is before beginner 😂. I think the way some other reviews described it is fair - adult beginner, crafty person beginner, etc. This probably isn't a good set for a kiddo or someone who is just not even in the arts and crafts space.I wish the set had printed diagrams to accompany the video, to help reference the different stitches.Otherwise, this is very nice. The materials are high quality and the video is well done and a helpful demonstration!
