Does it trap Stink Bugs?

people are saying use vegetable oil to free something but is it as easy as pouring on or do you pry off the feet of the rodent/lizard to free it?

I use vegetable oil or (or a vitamin E oil) to unstick lizards or snakes. It works. Just be patient and slowly work each stuck area.

In the mouse scuffle when attached to the board, the board got tipped upside down and onto my gym mat. How do I get the glue off my gym mat?

Yeah that’s a problem when you use them for mice (vs. insects). Probably want to use an actual mouse trap - it’s less suffering for the mouse too. But for your immediate problem, here’s what I’ve found works on the glue they use in these: long steady pressure to peel it off, very hot water and soap gets the glue off, Goo-Gone (tm), and carpet soap if that doesn’t work.

How often do they need to be replaced?

I have them in the corners of my basement. If you don’t get many bugs no need to replace. If you have a lot of bugs then you would replace with a new one. It’s easy to know when it’s time to replace.
