Red KapMen's Plain Front Short

My husband is a long time ASE Master Auto Tech. His clothes get put to the test with who knows what. I've purchased him Dickies and other brands and they get wear spots quickly and tear or he says they are uncomfortable or too heavy material. Red Kap is the only brand we have been able to purchase that lasts, we have some Red Kap shirts that have lasted over 10 years. Red Kap clothing is light weight and extremely durable and I as a wife appreciate that little silver snap button at the collar, easy to hang for me, and easy for him to take off the hanger. It's also easy to keep clean. He has both the Carcoal, which I think is kinda sexy, and also the dark blue. The work shirts, shorts and pants fit nice too and aren't too baggy. The shorts he actually uses for daily use as well... he basically lives in mechanic clothing, anyone out there married to a mechanic understands. HIGHLY RECOMMEND KED KAP if your man likes to get dirty.... also easily cleaned with a Pre Wash of Oxyclean & 1/4 cup Vinegar, regular wash cycle I use Tide & an extra rinse. It also doesn't hold smells like some of his other uniforms either, which are in the Garage Sale box now. He only uses Red Kap

Very nice shorts but run small

Short pants for work. Well made and sturdy while appearing quite "dressy". Poly-cotton material with a stiff, 2 in. waistband to reduce rollover. I highly recommend them.

My father is a mechanic and these shorts are the best quality. They have held up for years we are just now replacing them. The no scratch button is really a great feature.

Bought to replace Dickies shorts due to working with used FLA batteriesGreat fit comfortable for work but many stitching problems with all 4 pair I purchased.

These are great for my job and fit great. Only thing is, they do need to be washed before wearing for work or active use. It has a lot of fabric starch, so unless you like your thighs chapped from the inside lining of the pockets, WASH BEFORE USE. Other than that they're great. I'll be ordering more in the near future.

Dickies no longer makes their classic work short so I tried these. Very disappointed. Seams are horrible. Stitching is weak and will not last. The kicker is there is at least two inches of fabric, one going left and one right, straight up the seam in the crack of your a double s. Makes no sense.

Just right. I've worked in clothing from Red Kap and other industrial suppliers and I know the stuff wears like iron. This 60/40 poly/cotton fabric may feel a little cheesy at first, but after wearing & washing a few times it gets very soft. Great for summer wear, definitely. I think shorts are about comfort and not style, and this is one of the very few shorts I've seen recently that wasn't way long. They call these 10 inches, but these 30x10's measure 9 inches at the inseam; they fit my 31 inch inseam just right, about 11/2 in above the knee. I'm betting they get longer as the waist gets larger. Also, they have slash pockets, not the on-seam type which are almost useless, in my IMHO. Good product, good value.

The fit is way too small.Size tag is on the out side near left pocket and is very hard to remove

Listen, for $10 these are a perfectly fine pair of shorts. They fit kind of small for me and the material is not the sturdiest but if they were the right size I would not be complaining. On a plus side, they leave extra fabric on the rear seam so the shorts can be altered/let-out just like a pair of dress pants. Even though I only give it 3 stars, I would still recommend these if someone wants a cheap pair of dress shorts for working.
