Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III (1990) [Blu-ray]

At the end of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 you seen LeatherFace die but to be brought back in this movie. My thoughs are if Jason Voorhees can come back from the dead like 5 plus times why cant LeatherFace come back???? LeatherFace is back in this film along with a weirder and creeper family if you can imagine.LeatherFace even gets a new chainsaw from his new family in this film and hes eager to test it out on some unsuspecting people who dont know what there in for.This movie surprised me at parts.It had me guessing who could LeatherFace be back with since his old family died????Well he just gets a new one and its back to square 1 for him. The setting in this film is by far the creepiest of all the TCM movies. i really like the new characters in this film and for the most part they did a great job playing there part. This film gets 5 stars from me cause i think it does a great job bringing the series to a close. yes i do now that there is a 4th texas Chainsaw Massacre film but i saw it and hated it so i think that this movie is a great ending to the series. if you feel like checking out the 4th film do so but you will be disapointed in it.LeatherFace is the most intimidating in this film. He looks somewhat similair to how he looked in the first film which i really liked.What i liked the most of all about this film is that they had Ken Foree in it you know the guy in George a Romero's Dawn of the Dead????? For me that makes this film even better then it already is which is fantastic cause Ken is such a great actor. This film is wonderful and is my favorite of the TCM series withoubt a doubt.I am gonna watch this film like 100 plus times cause i enjoyed it that much.If you are a fan of the TCM series then you ought to check this film out.and now i leave off with this comment (All Hail to Tobe Hooper for making one of the best horror movie Series ever)

By now, you've read the storyline of this flick in the other reviews, so no need to repeat here. I WILL say that it's interesting to see how the film makers were trying to make Leatherface a more formidable killer than he was in the first 2 movies. He's less childish and not as skitterish this time around, and that makes him more intimidating. It's weird to see California doubling as Texas, but hey...you'll get used to that soon enough in this film. The documentaries are interesting and explain a LOT about how this movie came to be, the thinking behind it, and what worked and didn't. The impression I got was that the studio saw Leather face as another Jason or Freddy, and just didn't understand that he's very different from either. He has NO personality. That's the point of the mask. It IS his persona. They tried to make him into something he's not, and it didn't quite work. As a retrospective on early '90s horror films and the efforts that went into them, the documentaries are more than worth the price of this dvd. i find myself watching it quite a bit when there's nothing on the boob tube late at night (which is pretty damned often). You'll definitely want to get this dvd if you're a fan of Chainsaw films and the history behind them.

Contains both the theatrical cut as well as the unrated version. The unrated is the way to go, but even that seems pretty tame by today's standards. Hard to believe this film had so much trouble trying to get that "R" rating. Better than you remember, but not as good as the first two films. Worth a watch mostly due to the fun cast of likable characters. It was a mistake to replace the original ending with what the film has now. The original ending is included in the extra features, not edited back in. To sum it all up, it is worth a watch but it could have been better.

This is the only version you should watch. It’s the unrated version and comes with a fun, interesting and entertaining documentary. It also has some rough footage of what the movie was supposed to be. Which is a dark and visually violent masterpiece. This unrated version of part 3 is definitely my favorite TCM sequel. Any other blu ray version of this movie doesn’t have the unrated version. If your a true TCM fan, then your going to love it!!!!

FOUR YEARS AFTER TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2 WAS RELEASED ( 2 BEING MY FAVORITE OF THE SERIES) NOW IF MY MEMORY SERVES ME CORRECTLY WHEN PART 3 WAS ORIGINALLY SET TO BE RELEASED THERE WERE A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THE RATINGS BOARD SO THE DIRECTOR HAD TO KEEP GOING BACK AND RE CUTTING THE FILM IN ORDER TO GET IT DOWN TO AN R RATING BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD AND VIOLENCE. NOW PART 3 IS A DEPARTURE FROM PART 2. PART 2 WAS MORE OF A DARK COMEDY PART 3 IS MUCH MORE GRUESOME AND VIOLENT. A LOT OF QUESTIONS ARE LEFT UN ANSWERED. SUCH AS AT THE END OF PART 2 LEATHER FACES ENTIRE FAMILY IS KILLED OR BLOWN UP BY A GRENADE EVEN THE CHARACTER OF GRANDPA. HOWEVER IN PART 3 GRANDPA AND LEATHER FACE ARE ALIVE AND LIVING WITH THEIR MOTHER A SISTER 2 OR 3 OTHER BROTHERS. THE FILM NEVER EXPLAINS HOW LEATHER FACE CAME TO BE WITH THEM. THE MOTHER JUST CALLS LEATHER FACE (HER BOY OR MY BOY)THEY JUST CALL LEATHER FACE JUNIOR. GOOD ADDITION TO THE SERIES THE FOURTH FILM WOULD NOT BE RELEASED UNTIL 1995 SO THERE WOULD BE FIVE YEARS BETWEEN WHEN LEATHER FACE WAS RELEASED AND WHEN THE 1995 FILM TITLED TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE THE NEXT GENERATION WOULD BE RELEASED AND LEATHER FACE WOULD BE WITH ANOTHER FAMILY FOR THAT FILM ALSO WHICH NEVER EXPLAINS HOW HE COMES TO LIVE WITH THEM EITHER. ALSO FOR PART 3 THE HUMOR THAT WAS IN PART 2 IS NOT REALLY THERE FOR PART 3. PART 3 IS MORE VIOLENT SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED IF YOU DON'T LIKE BLOOD AND VIOLENCE THEN THIS FILM IS MOST LIKELY NOT FOR YOU. IF YOU CAN LOOK PAST THE BACK STORY GAPS BETWEEN PART TWO AND THREE THEN THIS IS STILL A GOOD GORE FEST.

Muy buena pelicula Un clasico

Très bon film d'horreur.

Excellent film

Muy buena edición la que se nos presenta en esta tercera entrega de la saga, edición que no tenemos en formato bluray y que he decidido adquirir en dvd, ya que tenía un precio muy asequible en Amazon y para completar la trilogía, ya que existe una cuarta parte de la saga llamada La nueva generación, del año 1994, pero que según los comentarios de la gente es una de las peores películas de la historia, así que es totalmente prescindible. Recomiendo esta edición a todo el mundo.
