CAVIX Tripod Ball Head with 1/4" Arca Swiss Quick Release Plate Aluminium Tripod Ball Head Mount Large Ball

I bought the Bog pod Death grip because I needed a solid tripod but wasn't going to pay thousands for one of the high end hunting tripods. it works well but after using a buddy's that has a ball head i had to have one.I paired this head with the EVUMO Ball head converter and its perfect. The converter comes with the main body screw and an extra Arca plate that attaches to the bog clamp head so it can still be used.the head itself is pretty great. it holds an 11lb rifle by the tip of the stock with no issues.

So far so good, paired with the Night Snipe adapter for use on a BOG Deathgrip. Had to add two washers as the bolt on the night snipe was longer than the female threads on the ball mount, but it’s still rock solid. No problem holding my 10 pound AR when locked down. Removes at least a pound over the stock BOG clamp, and feels like even more because of how much more streamlined it is. Highly recommend. I try to support small hunting brands when I can but to me, paying upwards of $200 for the exact same mount from some of these companies is absurd.

This is an excellent product. It’s well made and fits my Swarovski Number 1 tripod perfectly.

CAVIX HB46A review:I'm using this to upgrade a BOG deathgrip tripod for shooting. The head movement of the standard BOG tripod makes it impossible to level your rifle under all circumstances, you need a ball mount to accomplish that. The base diameter is 2.25", height is about 3.25". The top is about 2"x2" and the removable Arca Swiss quick release plate measures about 1.3"x1.9". The unit is very well made. All aluminum except for the 3 adjustment knobs and the socket liner which contacts the ball - these are plastic. It has three adjustments: 1) ball socket rotation/tilt, 2) base rotation - 360 degrees, 3) Arca plate slide, with an allen head socket under each end of the Arca plate to keep it from sliding off it's base and your gun / camera from landing on the ground unplanned. I am awaiting arrival of my BOG tripod. The fitment to the tripod will involve removing the BOG jaw assembly, running a bolt up through the bottom of the tripod head into this Cavix ball head, then mounting the Arca plate to the bottom of the BOG jaw assembly. Then put the Arca plate back on the Cavix ball head. I will post a photo when the BOG arrives and fitment is complete.

I purchased the ball head for a tripod conversion but, not for a camera. I’m using it for a night hunting on a bog death grip tripod. It holds my night ar with all the accessories. I made a bushing to mount it after removing the clamp apparatus. Works great for a fraction of the cost of ball heads advertised for hunting.

Used the Bog DeathGrip Tripod Conversion Ball Head Adapter Kit W/Arca Adapter - 3/8 Inch to mount this which worked perfectly. This ball mount mounted effortlessly and is well built. Used it for the first time today and loved it. Easy adjustments and functions perfectly.
