Introduction With more and more mobile phones and other similar portable devices able to be charged via a USB socket there is no longer a need to find a charger and/or adaptor, just install one of these sockets with integral USB port and its plug and charge. LG9098-USB is a patented 13A 2G - switched socket with a 5V, 2A, USB charger function (2 USB slots). The USB sockets are suitable for charging and powering mobile phones, Blackberries, iPads, iPods, iPhones, PDAs, MP3 players, game consoles, digital cameras and more. The left USB "I-slot" is for charging only "I-series" products such as the iPad and iphone. The right USB slot is for charging all other normal USB products. The USB sockets are current limited and will automatically trip to protect the device if overloaded. The USB socket is CE compliant and the power adapter complies with EU efficiency level 5. The outer dimension is 146 x 86 x 27.6mm. 2. Instructions 1 Before commencing work, isolate the mains power supply and remove the fuse in the fuse box or switch off the circuit breaker in the consumer unit. 2 Pass cable through the entry holes / glands and connect as per the relevant diagram below. 3 Should an Earth loop connection be required, use the earth terminal block in the back box. All Earth connections must be made and maintained. 4 When installation is correctly completed, re-connect mains supply. 3.
