Very good product, it would be perfect if it would come.a little bit larger for large paintings. Wanted to buy another one but they suddenly had increased so much the price ... More than 30 $ now !!!

This is absolutely awesome! Arrived quickly too. I clipped it to my drawing table as I paint on it and it work very well. I was hoping that something like this existed, and I am glad it does. The bar can extend quite a bit so it cover my table from one end to the other easily. It's a good quality construction. So it's easy to attach it to any flat surface, not just the canvas. I did not want to have this on my canvas but on the table it works great!

Broken by user, but not sure if product issue or user issue.

I had originally written a five-star review because this seemed to be perfect. After buying two of them in a row because they break so easily, I have to revise downward. The problem is with the adjustable-length hand rest rod itself. You're supposed to be able to extend it to the desired length through a telescoping design, then twist it to lock it to that length. Except that the locking mechanism inside is the cheapest, chintziest plastic bit of garbage they could buy, so it simply breaks with any but the weakest twisting pressure, resulting in a hand rest rod that's permanently broken. The side-attaching peg device is still pretty useful, so it's worth two stars, but you'd be better off buying a wooden dowel and attaching a screw-in hook into one end and discarding the plastic hand rest rod. OR, if Alvin & Co. would improve the workmanship of the product, such as replacing the fragile plastic internal locking mechanism of the rod with something metal and durable, that would be awesome. But I've had to replace this twice now for the same flaw, and I'm just done./

This works a charm keeping my hand steady and off the canvas! The only issue I have is that it doesn’t work well when I’m painting the lowest part of the canvas.
