Quicken Classic Deluxe for New Subscribers| 1 Year [PC/Mac Online Code]

I have been using Quicken since 1994 and have data that goes back that far, so I am kind of sadly locked in. I was not a fan of them switching to the "Subscription" model and have offered Quicken my feedback many times, but it would seem that money rules (no surprise there). Anyhow, at this point "it is what it is" as the saying goes. As of the software it is very good and I can easily monitor how I spend my money. I REALLY like that I can easily download all of my financial institutions transaction with the press of one button. I have never used the Quicken payment system. The software at points has had issues but on the whole has been very reliable for me. To this specific product and my experience. My license was going to expire in April. I saw this on Amazon discounted and bought it, entered the renewal code with Quicken under help and manage my subscription and VIOLA my license is extended one year (pretty simple). The key to this product is knowing what you are going to get with it and either wanting that or not. I expect that one day they will move (force) an online product - but that is not today...(thankfully).

Extremely buggy and does not work for monitoring my budget. My hope was to have a program that would link my bank accounts and bills so I could see how much money was going out versus my income. First of all, very few of my bills will link so I cannot get an accurate reading of how much is due each month and when (most of my accounts in Quicken are stuck on the "Fix It"). Also, Quicken gives me an error when trying to sign into some of my bill accounts to link stating that the login/password is wrong even though I just logged into the account online using the same information. Second, Quicken does not update the very few accounts that it can access. My credit card and bank accounts balances do not match what is shown when I view the accounts online (off by a magnitude of 10x). Also, the only "Charge" showing on my credit card is the monthly payment. I cannot see any purchases and the payment is shown as a charge not a payment. Third, Quicken's support is of very little help and after 5 months of use, I have been unable to resolve any issues. Frankly, I am surprised this program has become so popular with all of the bugs it has. My hope was to make my budgeting easier, but trying to resolve all of the bugs has made it much more difficult than just using an Excel spreadsheet and tracking everything manually. I am just upset that I spent the $35 for the 1 year subscription.

The category tracking and visual spend‑vs‑budget bar graphs make it easy to see where money is going at a glance. A solid tool for staying organized and keeping a clear picture of your finances.

I have used Quicken for years and loved it. However, I was forced to update to the latest version and it is sooo different from my old version that I am having a hard time adjusting. I am determined to get up to speed with this version because it does so much more for you. Of course I'm sure this is a user problem since i am now in my eighties and trying to keep up.

I put the on code right in the license registration and every went smoothly. The code works on my MacBook Pro. It also works on my Windows PC.

I've been a longtime Mint user and have been looking for a replacement since Intuit decided to shut it down. I decided to give Quicken Deluxe a try, figuring it was pretty risk-free with Intuit's 30-day satisfaction guarantee. The product itself has an archaic interface, although that doesn't bother me. What does bother me is that it couldn't interface with my bank or my 403(b) provider. I could download the data from each and import it into Quicken manually, but the point of having such a product (for me, at least) is to have everything automatically collected into one place. I purchased this product as a digital download from Amazon, but my understanding is that refund requests have to go through Intuit directly. I did submit their form, along with a PDF of my receipt and the activation code. I received an e-mail stating that they couldn't process my refund, and it could be for a number of reasons listed in the e-mail. I called Intuit support to inquire about exactly what was wrong so I could submit it correctly. I waited nearly 30 minutes on hold, only to be told that they couldn't find my order so I needed to contact Amazon. I went back and forth with Intuit a few times during this call, and read them their own policy from their Web site, but to no avail. Fortunately, I contacted Amazon and although it wasn't really their issue to solve, they refunded my order anyway. I will never purchase another Intuit product. I'm grateful Amazon was willing to make it right for me.

Only three stars due to it being a subscription. I only use it for offline, not online features. After subscription expires, you start getting the error / "bug" that's been around for years now, where you can no longer backup. By backup, I mean locally.. on my computer's HDD, or even on an external device ( thumb drives/ external hdd, etc ) Quicken customer service only recommends to re-sub. and that's not a fix, but a scam. Used to be able to just purchase it and use it without much issue. Then upgrade to the newer version, if you wanted the updated software options. But, that was before they had sold to the new owners. And, most importantly, when they weren't an online subscription. Problem is.. they bought out their best competition, years ago. Now, their competition varies in ability, cost, and quality. I've found nothing else that works for my OFFLINE needs. In short.. unless you're looking to spend $80+ a year to keep renewing your subscription ( for what amounts to be only a couple, if that, patches and lousy online features), forget about this product. There are cheaper ONLINE money management software out there, since that is basically, what quicken charges so much for. I've searched and looked through them.. onky to find their offline capabilities/features are either non-existent or barely qualify as offline. I don't use online features, so they ended up being of no use, for me.

A long time favorite program for financial tracking and planning. Easy to use, with a wide selection of budgeting and reporting options. Is capable of being integrated with TurboTax.
