I recently purchased the cut-outs. They work like a charm. Dough doesn't stick to the cut-out and clean-up is a breeze - just flick off the excess flour with a clean, dry pastry brush.For example, I used them with a savoury dough on cornish pasty style meat pies for decoration and identification - maple leaf for beef, heart for chicken. Stick the cut-out on over egg washed dough and brush the cut-out with a bit more wash. They stayed on and browned up nicely. Sweet!I also made a ton of extra hearts and maple leafs with the dough scraps. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and lay the cut-outs flat. Freeze for a few hours (until completely hard) then transfer to an air-tight container for deep-freeze storage. To use: pull them out frozen and "glue" with egg wash. Voilà!

Awesome tools!
These tools are so much fun to use. I have made a pumpkin pie today and have used the leaf shape cutter. It is very easy to use. There is also an apple shape, cherry shape and heart shape ones that was in the box. I am adding some pictures for you guys to see. I think the leaf ones can be used for maple cookies as well. So beautiful. I highly recommend them. Thank you Amazon :)
