Excellent cage. Ergonomic fit and comfortable. Let edge is a little to sharp and could’ve been rounded off a little better to make it even smoother.

I really like smallrig products, and this cage it's great. It does the job. But there are two things that I don't like. First, if you work handheld, the design is not totally comfort, there are edges in the left-down part of the cage that can hurt your hand on a long use. Second, when I purchased this cage the model have not de hawlock desing, now there is a new version with this design (I see it in amazon, not in the official page). I think that design is really convenient for that system. Overall it's a great cage.

Covers the 2.5mm remote port….. if you intend on using this port do not buy

Works as intended. Feels secure on the camera. Great amount of attachment points.

Significantly better than Tilta, especially if you're shooting vertically.

This is a very handy bit of kit that adds a lot of functionality to the camera without interfering with its operation. It is particularly good for videography where you may want to add some bulkier lights and a mike setup. The design is well thought out and it is a perfect fit. Machined and finished to a very high standard from aluminium it adds little weight itself.

I like that the cage has 3 mounting points, using the camera strap mounts for additional stability. I like that you can secure cables with clamp mounting points in specific spots. I like that the cage has 3 strap mounting points allowing different configurations. I like the easy battery access, and the stowed wrench. I don't like that the bottom has only a single 1/4-20 plate mounting point in line with the center of the camera and I mounted off center to be completely twist-proof. I don't like that only the left side has a nato mount. And, I don't like that the top handle mounting point will twist over time with enough weight (monitor + vmount battery + 200g balancing weight), but they couldn't make this stronger without obstructing some buttons or increasing complexity and costs.

I got this cage today and was really looking forward to putting it on my new XH2s - Anyway, SMALLRIG does not provide instructions in this - it looks relatively simple - however you will have difficulty if you don't know about the small peg on the bottom right of it, which needs to be unscrewed - no instructions were in the box to tell me this - I ended up scratching my £2500 FUJIFILM XH2s camea because of that - I am disgusted. Hence the one star review - had it not been for the lack of instructions, this would easily have been a 5 star product, because once it is on the camera, it is a beauty.
