If you're running an LS engine and need to add an aftermarket oil pressure gauge or relocate the sending unit, this adapter is exactly what you need. I used it on an LS1 during a swap into a C10, and it threaded right into the factory oil pressure port behind the intake. The adapter gives you 1/8" NPT threads, which made it super easy to hook up my mechanical gauge without fighting the stock GM port or cramming sensors in tight spots. I used this adapter to install a mechanical gauge in my 5.3 LS engine, as the truck doesn't have an oil pressure gauge on the dash or a readout in the DIC. I just did an AFM/DoD delete after getting a low oil pressure warning, along with a new oil pump and pickup o-ring and wanted to be able to monitor the oil pressure right off the pump. This adapter installs in the plug right below the #1 spark plug, which right at the oil pump output, and accepts common gauge fittings. I'll definitely be buying these for any other LS engines I have.
