Makes growing cutting so easy!
I like to propagate my favorite honeysuckle vines and it is a bit hard to get them started. I used one pot and filled it with ONLY the Coconut Coir and that was the only pot that thrived!

A New Change of Pace
As an intensive gardener doing a lot of winter sowing, I knew it was time to say goodbye to peat. Looking into what others were using, and finding no big bags at the home center, decided to try these dehydrated blocks. This was so easy: I placed the block into a big plastic bin, and covered with rain water; and as it expanded, pulled away the fluffy coir then soaked with more water. In a few hours, the bin was almost full, and I had a season's worth of soilless seed starter. It also mixed easily with topsoil (although it has great structure, moisture retention, aeration, and is pH-neutral, it provides no inherent nutrition--so needs to be mixed with supplemental nutrients for anything long-term). Great stuff.

Got it on sale.
It’s coco coir. If you can get a good deal on it, it makes a great addition to any garden or potting soil. I mix it with compost for my raised beds. I use it to start seeds. I much prefer coco coir to sphagnum peat moss. The peat moss gets super hydrophobic when it dries out. The coco coir does too but not nearly as bad.

Great and all natural!
This product really blew my mind. I get this lightweight brick in thinking it wouldn’t be enough for what I was wanting to plant. I never thought it would turn into so much once hydrated!! I had more than enough! It’s a very healthy mix and works wonders for plants!

Finer than other coconut coirs I have used, makes it easy to mix into soil
After using, I like this coconut coir. It is a bit bulky of a block to work with (had to mix it in my wheelbarrow). But it broke down pretty easily after adding water and soaking. I like that the coir was chopped fine, so that it incorporates with soil better. I used it on some plants that I was repotting - and so far, so good!
