The Universal File Bar Economy Pack enables wood lateral file cabinets to use hanging folders (i.e. green pendaflex style). The Wood 10 Pack includes (10) 40" long universal file bars and (20) universal flush mount clips. They will work in any wood lateral or wood vertical filing cabinet regardless of brand name or age (great for custom models too). File bars are sold 40 inches long ready to be cut to your required length. Multiple bars can be used in any combination (when used with the optional UFC 547 hanging clips) and allow you to design your own modular system for side-to-side, front-to-back, and letter or legal size filing. Installation instructions: NOTE: THESE FILE BARS MUST BE CUT-TO-LENGTH BEFORE INSTALLING. Metal is 1/16" thick and can not be cut with tin snips, common methods for cutting are a hacksaw and vice, bandshaw or chopsaw. Measure to determine the actual length of the file bar (measuring and cutting instructions included). After cutting the file bar, secure the clip to the cabinet drawer wall using the two screws supplied. Now the file bar can be placed into the clips and you're ready to begin filing. The file bars and clips are made of heavy duty galvanized steel, and to similar design criteria as common "A Grade" OEM models found in steel cabinets, so you can be assured they will not bend or deflect under heavy usage.
