3 Litre Tall Plastic Rigid Jug - Kitchen Measuring - 5 Pints

We tend to 'melt' our plastic jugs and find it difficult to find anything above a 2 litre capacity. This item totally 'fit the bill' and then some. With a 3 litre capacity, repeated trips to the tap to top up the stew stock are long gone! A good quality product, very sturdy and more importantly....dishwasher safe!! Would definitely buy again.

A really nice 3L jug, strong and clearly labelled. Would very much recommend if you need a large jug for cooking or plant watering.

Good sturdy jug only down side is that I bought it as I need to fill a steamer with 3 litres of water so I thought that this would do the job nicely but the 3 litre mark for filling is right at the top of the jug so allowing no room or space at the top of the jug so when you try to pour into a funnel a lot of water spills over the side as too full. Also the measurement markings on the side of the jug are very small and same colour as jug so very hard to see. It will do for my purpose but I am back to filling the jug up to 2 litres then 1 litre for comfort of pouring.

I make quite a lot of jam, marmalade, etc and often do that in two stages, cooking the fruit one day and making the preserve another. So I wanted a large jug to store this in without taking up too much space in the fridge. Some other jugs I looked at had comments about the handle being small & flimsy for a large jug. Noone had said that about this and in the picture the handle looks substantial. I bought one in November 2015 (which looks just like the picture) and used it a few times and it was fine. In February 2016 I bought another one and was rather disappointed that it is not quite the same. The plastic is a bit thinner but is still okay, however the handle is closer to the body and is narrower and a lot shorter. With the first one I can get my hand on the handle with c. 1cm of space, with the new one I can only get three fingers on the handle. that may be an issue when it is full & weighing several kg. A photo is attached. As I have the older one one I decided not to send it back.

I have previously reviewed this jug as if it came from China which was a mistake! It is an extremely useful, sturdy jug and I have 3 of them - 1 upstairs in the bathroom, 1 downstairs in the kitchen and 1 outside for the garden.

The handle isn't sturdy enough.

I bought this to receive chopped items from my Kenwood Chef attachment (Kenwood have missed a trick in not selling a bespoke item, you need something to catch the pieces which fly rapidly in all directions!). Should have found a jug 20cm tall to be extra secure but that's not its fault. It's fine. Don't know why so many complaints about legibility of its very detailed measures - put your glasses on!
