Does what it says it can do!
I needed to connect a device to my WiFi but it only has a wired connection. This AC1200 is described to be able to do that. The instructions are very clear and detailed and I was able to quickly get the AC1200 connected to my WiFi and then connected with an Ethernet cable to my 'wired only' device. This product does exactly what the description says it can do. Works very well.

Worked Great...until it didn't. As others have mentioned, this repeater seems to be a great product out of the box. I got it connected to my wifi and used it successfully for almost a year. Now, the repeater just disappears randomly from my WiFi list. No changes have been made in the equipment or settings of my home WiFi network. If I cycle the power, the repeater will SOMETIMES reconnect for a few minutes to a few hours, then drop off again. I wouldn't waste my money on this again. I would recommend you purchase a repeater with a better reputation.

Add A VOiP phone line even it you can't plug into your modem/router
Highly Recommend!! I have QuantumFiber Internet Provider. My house was built with their gateway/router system pre-installed into my unfinished basement wall. This makes it impossible to add any device (VOiP phones or other devices by ethernet cable). There is no where to put the device for one thing, and for the other, there are no outlets to plug the other devices into. The ioGiant SOLVES this problem! I plugged the ioGiant into an outlet in my office on the 2nd floor. I then followed the directions to send the signal from the gateway/router to the ioGiant device. It did take a while and several trips up and down the stairs, pressing each devices WPS buttons, but the end result was a strong, steady connection! I was then able to plug the ethernet cord (comes with the ioGiant) into both the ioGiant and the VOiP adapter provided by QuantumFiber and plug in a landline internet phone system that goes throughout the house. I can also plug a fax machine line into this and us my fax machine. To be able to use both outlet plugs, I placed the ioGiant on the bottom outlet and used a 3 sided extender plug on the top so that I could also plug in my backup battery. I have recommended this product to QuantumFiber for their customers.

Lasted 6 months
This lasted for six months, then it started making a high pitched noise, and lost internet. I tried troubleshooting but could not get it to work again. In the process of troubleshooting, I figured out how to connect my internet phone directly to my PC, and no longer need a replacement. So I guess no harm no foul ha.
