How do you get this to release? Ours is jammed and wont come undone?

If be release you mean it’s not opening you have to close completely before it will open It takes a lot of pressure to close all the way and crimp when on a fitting

I have this tool but I'm unable to press my viega pex fit pro pipe. The pipe is loose in the rim. Am i using the correct tool?

Are you using the Viega Pureflow press fittings or the ProPress copper fittings? If copper, you’re using the wrong tool. If Pureflow, clamp shut the tool, open it and then press the fitting.

Does this work with fostapex or pex-al-pex?

You probably know this by now but for anyone else- FostaPEX is aluminum sleeved- Viega makes a special tool for de-sleeving the end of the tube prior to a crimp or press connection.
