I was surprised that they included gifts I wasn't expecting. A razor type pill divider/splitter and a week pill box!, along with a small brush to clear out the pill crusher, all were a good surprise. I will use the pill crusher for pet meds to put in their food, but the rest I will use myself.

Bought this to crush up my dogs joint supplements as she doesn't like the chewy treats one so i have to buy the tablets and they are huge. This works perfectly for that and it's nice and small (but super durable) so I can store on my counter. Exactly what I was looking for it. Use it everyday.

While the set was physically smaller than I expected, it is PERFECT for crushing pills. This easily grinds the pills and is very easy to clean (brush was included). It is the rough surface in the mortar that make it work so well.If you need to grind up pills, this is the tool to buy. I absolutely recommend it.

I bought this for its intended purpose of crushing pills. Unfortunately, far too much of the powdered pill sticks to the inside (and pestle too). Can't even scrape it out easily. Wish I could find a stainless steel set this small, but in the meantime I'll have to return this and stay with the ceramic M&P I've been using (some sticking in it too, but easy to scrape out).Other than that, it's a very nice looking piece and just the right size. If you're only trying to crunch up your pills rather than powder them, I suppose it would be fine. Would also be good for some spices, except it would need to be dedicated to just one type to avoid mixing flavors with the leftover residue.Sorry folks. It's nicely made, just not right for the job.

I originally ordered this for our older dog as he hates taking his meds. I can crush the pills and sprinkle it on his food without problems. I should add that we had tried just about everything else so this was a last resort for us. Even Pill Pickets would not work with him. I feel like it would work well for crushing dried herbs as well.

Small but workable with a little ingenuity. The Mortar, after washing, had a wax like substance in the bottom. If not discovered and removed would allow ingestion along with medication. Placing parchment paper in the bottom of the mortar before grinding, alleviates the problem of the ground meds popping out of and sticking to the bottoms of both mortar and pestle. The three stars were because I had to think of and use another product to make the item appropriate for my use.

This little magic pill crusher saved my day!! Only one I can actually crush to powder. Already bought a second one!!
