wow!
everything about this tripod is incredibly well thought out, and meticulously engineered. Goes from tiny packed size to full size tripod, setup is very quick and easy. Ball head with quick release, and an integrated level, means easy leveling. I knew from the description that all these features are on the product, I just didn't expect everything to work so well and so easily. It's not the cheapest compact tripod, but the quality makes it a great value IMO. Well done Ulanzi!

Much better stability but at hefty price tag
This is no doubt a much practical embodiment of a field tripod/selfie combo. All of the selfie tripod has a lethal problem - wobling. This is caused by having lower tripod. This still wobble tiny bit but acceptable. The camera holder needs improvement, for larger phone. First the clamp is too tight and not wide enough, second the jaw that holds the camera won't keep the camera body stable. For reason of that I took one star off.

Super Good Quality
I was a bit worried about the 1-star review which says it has a design defect. But when I received it I found he just mounted his camera in the wrong direction... I'm looking for a mini Tripod with a regular tripod height. This just meets my needs. The phone tripod is a plus for me. Everything is good, but if the price can be lower or at least match the official website price (The original price is $59.95) then it would be great.

Doubts Confirmed
I wanted a lightweight tripod that I could use to help me make vlogs while I'm out making landscape photos. This tripod seemed like it might fit the bill, I like that it is extremely lightweight and came with a phone mount as part of the head. My concern was that the lightness of this tripod would result in a compromise in stability. Within minutes of setting this tripod up, my fears were confirmed. For this tripod to be as light as it is AND get the height I wanted the center column gets way too skinny for it to not wobble even indoors on a solid surface the tripod will wobble for thirty seconds after pressing the record button on the phone screen. Now I could wait for the wobble to stop, but that would soon become very annoying. Additionally, if it wobbles like that in a controlled environment, it will be even worse outside on uneven ground or with any amount of breeze. If you're using this on a desk where you don't need to use the maximum height offered it would probably be fine, sadly that's not the case for me. I will be returning this item.

Not perfect, but very packable and versatile
This little tripod impresses me a great deal. It has its quirks, but overall it brings nearly full size tripod capabilities into a form factor that packs down to about the size and weight of a water bottle. While there are certainly some design choices involved that require careful use, it has a lot of capability in that small package.First, the stated purpose is that it's a phone tripod. It is plenty sturdy for that purpose. The actual phone mount is the most plastic of the whole tripod, but it is positionable and adjustable to hold a wide range of phones. But then Ulanzi went and put a whole lot of other capabilities on this tripod that make it a whole lot more. The phone mount swivels off of a 1/4-20 threaded camera mount platform, so you can use this to hold a compact camera and lens or a GoPro. You can then use the phone mount to mount your phone below the camera and use it for a teleprompter, live preview of a GoPro, or even to view the chat on a livestream. There is a basic ball head that is freely adjustable and securely clamps down. It's not something you would adjust on the fly, say while recording video. There is a separate rotating platform with its own screw down latch that can provide a damped pan movement. While it's not a fluid head, if you loosen it just enough it will provide reasonably smooth panning (but you have to use either the knob or your phone/camera as the handle).Everything extends with twist lock action - the old school kind where you twist the leg or main pole itself, not the kind where you have a grippy collar around the joint. This is key to having such a collapsible tripod, though - with collars there would be several extra inches of length on each part (or a shorter extension length). Since the tripod is so compact, this means that you will be grabbing and twisting small bits and trying to apply enough force to securely lock them in place. It's not that hard to do, but the nature of the twist lock means that it is easy to inadvertently unlock the main post while trying to do something else. Adjust carefully and keep a hand on your camera and no tragedy should befall you here. The legs fold up inverted and when flipped down have secure metal thumb locks with three locking positions. The fully rotated position gives a fairly narrow stance and the most potential height, and there is an option for a wider stance (great for using as a tabletop tripod) and an option for the legs to be almost 90 degrees straight out from the tripod. There is a surprising amount of extension built into each leg, and here you will twist the rubber feet of the tripod to lock and unlock the sections. If you extend the legs all the way out, the last and thinnest section of the leg allows some motion/flex, so I like to only extend that last section if I really need all the height I can get.The main shaft is the same way. The last extension section allows significant wobble that can take a few seconds to settle, so if that height is not required it might be better to keep it collapsed. If you're doing anything with the tripod at full height, use a remote control or timer delay for the camera if possible. The pan knob did interfere with the bottom of a mounted camera but I used a Torx driver to back out the screw and turn the knob around so at its fully tightened position it had as much room as possible to loosen before hitting the camera. This is sort of a design issue but it could be mitigated with a little QC or a DIY fix like I did. I'm now able to release the pan lock without removing the camera. So it's not a perfect tripod. But it packs a lot of capability into a package that's almost as easy to tote as a monopod. I can literally stick it in a jacket pocket, cargo pocket, or water bottle holder and bring it anywhere. Fully extended it can hold my phone or a camera at about the height I would handhold my phone. With less extension it makes an outstanding tabletop tripod. I can extend the main shaft and handhold it like a (somewhat awkward) selfie stick or use it to get some elevation on the camera. And I can take it apart and flip the main shaft to be upside down for a very low angle or macro closeup. It is a great travel companion for a phone or small camera setup when packing down to a really small size matters.
