GELLEN Gel Top Coat and Base Coat, UV LED Lamp Needed

I got this for myself because I have a bad habit of subconsciously biting my nails & cuticles when I am stressed. The roll on applicator is very nice and makes applying the product fast and easy. It is a small bottle but seems like it will last a good while since a little bit goes a long way. It only has a slight odor when it’s wet after I first put it on, but the smell is not strong or foul, and once it’s dry I can’t smell it at all. It dries very fast and tastes awful for hours after a single application. It does not leave any residue or feel sticky. It is not shiny or dull, so it’s completely invisible. I also love that it contains aloe to soothe and hydrate my cuticles while preventing further damage. Before, I wouldn’t even realize I was biting my cuticles until they became sore, but now I am aware immediately because it tastes horrible as soon as my finger touches my lips. It works very well for me and hopefully I can finally break this bad habit for good. Overall worth it and would buy it again.

My daughter has been a thumb-sucker for as long as I can remember, so I decided to give this product a try. One night after she fell asleep, I carefully applied it all around the nail and finger she typically sucks. She woke up in the middle of the night and definitely noticed the taste. She was a little upset that she couldn't wash it off, but after a while she settled back down and went back to sleep—without sucking her thumb. For us, that was a big win. If you're looking for something that actually stays on and does its job, this product was very effective.

I bought it for the peelable base coat because I need my nails bare and undamaged for a certification class but I can’t bare to have them bare. I work at a nail salon and own my own mobile salon. These two work so great!! If you’re worried about damaging your nails or like me want to try multiple colors and don’t care if it peels cuz you already want to try another set then get this!! I’ve bought a lot from Gellen and they have never disappointed me. The application was easy. You’ll need a uv/led lamp to dry it and hit it 1-2minutes it dries quickly like any gel polish, it’s great quality and doesn’t smell bad at all. I definitely recommend. In the picture shown you can see it peeling without taking layers of my actual nails. I have no doubt it’ll be would’ve lasted me 7days because I deep cleaned my bathroom yesterday with bleach, did laundry and they stayed on no peeling. I’m already bored so I scrapped the edge off cuz I want to try another set.

So far great results! I purchased this as a blind buy hoping that this brand would live up to the reviews and product statements... Over a week with my press on (glued) nails and NO pop offs! The semi solid glue is very easy to use and locks in tightly, with no bubbles and no gap. It doesn't drip (like my liquid glue of before) and doesn't have a strong odor. a Win-Win. Last night I took them off to change the style - the remover has an angled tip, which is super helpful to dispense and release / work the softened glue. It is a bit strong, as it did "melt" the color on the edges I was working, but this set was disposable so I am not worried. IF you plan to use with a set of nails you want to reuse - dispense carefully ;) The only improvement I might suggest is a needle style tip to the remover, so you can really get into the little areas to dispense. I did have remover excess all about as the sides needed remover in order to get under the nail, and the wide angled tip only goes where it goes for its size. (-1 star BUT not a negative). All in all it is very effective! Took no time to remove and no need to soak for 20 minutes like my old style.... and no nail damage! A solid purchase, so far a great experience with a new product AND I will certainly consider buying Gellen again!

It is bitter and it works. It is bitter, and it works. Yes, it IS bitter, and it WORKS. I have been biting and peeling for over a couple decades now and this is the first product that feels like I'm actually trying to handle my habit with a little more potency. It glides well when the ball has enough to roll with, so application can be troublesome sometimes. It's safe and easy to use, just as a heads up -- don't wear and then try to eat finger food. Yuck.

I love, LOVE this top and base coat duo. Both have a beautiful consistency. The top is nice and thick but not so thick that you have to worry about air bubbles. The base is probably the thickest base coat I have seen, which I love because it doesn't flood cuticles at all. I haven't had any lifting when using the base coat and no chipping with the top coat. I use fake tanner and havent noticed any staining either, I'm not sure if its advertised as stain resistant, but this is just something I've noticed. The top coat is so glossy and wet looking once cured, it really is a phenomenal top coat, especially for the price. These have made it to my top drawer in my nail table, which is where all of the products I really like go. I love that they're both BIG bottles and the packing looks nice and sleek. I will be buying several more of these so I don't run out. It being HEMA free is a plus! These compete with all of the high end and Korean top and base coats I have. I've actually been reaching for this more than my Jin.B and Young Nails. Love these so much.

Works good. Insanely bitter which is the point. Doesn't really go on like nail polish and because of its thinness doesn't saturate the nail enough. For it to stay I also apply on the cuticles, finger print and phalanges of the finger.
