I work long hours and live far away from work. Each week I'm running low on gas and don't have time to stop at gas stations (especially busy ones). I bought a 5-gallon gas container (for home) to have some extra fuel. When I first started using it, and 5 gallons is heavy, the nozzel with it would not bend to fit into my truck's gas tank. Gas would leak out of the container at times. And no air opening on the gas container kept the fuel from smoothly running out. It was not worth the trouble. But then this very simple and easy (and good price) spout replacement set solved the problem. This set came with the right parts needed to make my gas can/container do what it should have already been able to do. Now that same container is easy to use, and works. No more gas leaks or spillage anymore. Well worth it.

Two important things for me: (1) it has to fit my gas cans (2) it can't leak. Both at a big thumbs up. The fit my Blitz cans using the short, fine-thread caps. The nozzle doesn't fit into the can opening like the original but rather makes contact on the edge of the opening. However, they didn't leak. It was very helpful to have some model numbers listed in the description. UPDATE: One negative. One of the vent caps has developed a crack (see photo). It was ok when I used it the first time but today when I went to use it I found the cap had cracked. The material the cap is made from is kind of thin.

I have two of the standard red 5 gallon gas cans with the safety spout. Both of them were seized in place and one was broken at the tightening ring allowing water and contamination into the fuel. This kit came with everything I needed (and more!) to get both my cans functional and air tight again. I took the opportunity to clean the gunk out of the cans with brake clean, as they were contaminated and drilling the vent holes may leave plastic shavings in the can. Both cans are in tip top shape now and I saved 40 bucks and a ton of plastic waste for a superior experience. I grew up in the 90s and never caught on fire, these are far superior to the “safety” spigots that actually cause more problems. I plan to drill a hole in the edge of the screw cap and attach it with wire or something so that it doesn’t run away while I’m filling. 5 stars: fast cheap and easy…just the way I like it 😎

Gas cans are a joke anymore as it is. The spout works good on these but the air vent that is to be installed on the back cracks overtime and doesn't seal good and leaks.

Needed to replace and get a larger gas can. Unfortunately all available in my area have a useable safety spout. Found these and they are perfect replacement. Easier for pouring and best part no leaking from anywhere. Truly best bang for the buck. Will pass on this find to friends

I have 2 gas cans where I needed to replace the nozzles. One can was about 5 years old, that one the coarse thread cap fit without issue. The other can is about a year old but the neither cap included in the kit would fit, but I was able to remove the broken spout from the tank and put the yellow nozzle in its place. I installed the vents which make filling a much better experience, compared to the overly safe nozzles the new gas cans have
