My family uses the soap for washing our body and hands. It works great, is not harsh on the skin, and smells nice. It's also nice to know that it is not made out of harsh chemicals. The large size is very convient.

TL;DR: Fantastic shampoo for straight, slightly oily hair; really good body wash that smells nice in the bath/shower and effectively leaves no discernable scent behind. Doesn't overdry my skin. Lathers well even in water that's basically liquid limestone. Good price, too. A rare 10/10. ---The Details-- -I. As Shampoo- This is my all-time favorite shampoo & body wash. I'd use it for shampoo even if I didn't like it as a body wash, because it leaves my hair clean, light (as opposed to heavy), silky, and shiny without excessively stripping the oils from my scalp. I don't find it necessary to use any kind of conditioner with it, either, which is nice, because my hair tends to be a little oily and using conditioner means that after a dayn in the studio (I'm a dancer, and I swear a LOT), it's already kinda gross. -II. Scent- If you want something that leaves a detectable scent behind, this isn't the ideal product for you. It smells lovely (but not overpowering) while you're showering or bathing, but just leaves you smelling like a clean human. This is perfect for me, as I enjoy a nice-smelling bath or shower as much the next person, but don't want to smell like anything in the ballet studio, where we're all breathing hard and scented products can trigger asthma attacks, etc. -III. Moisturizing?- As for moisturizing, I wouldn't call this a moisturizing body wash. Rather, it dries your skin less than most; it might actually just be completely neutral in that regard. That's fine with me. If my skin feels dry, I use lotion. Your mileage may vary, however—our water is so hard it's basically mineral water, so this stuff night behave differently if your water is soft, for example. -IV. Value- Depending on how often I shower or bathe, a bottle of this lasts me from 1 to 2 months, maybe longer? I never think to write down the date I start using a new one, but I will next time I do so I can report back with actual useful information. -V. Rating- Even though I only tend to review products I either hate or love, there are few I'd call a 10 out of 10. This is one of them. Because hair types and bodies differ, it might not be a 10/10 for you, but it's worth a try if you're looking for a new shampoo or body wash.

I researched for a LONG time to find products that were truly safe to be putting on my body/use on my hair. It was like a weeks-long process with lots of trial and error (for hair products, especially, since I have curly hair). I settled on this brand and bought the 3-in-1 soap, the hand soap, and the lotion. None of them disappoint!!! I mainly use this soap as my body wash, but I’ve used it on my hair a few times, too, and it’s great! The only reason I don’t use it on my hair everytime is because it’s harder to scrub in, and sometimes I’m in a rush. I did quickly realize how this worked, though, when it didn’t lather easily the first time, since I used to use DevaCurl shampoo + conditioner. It didn’t lather either, but I eventually mastered the “scrub in, scrub out” washing method when I used those products. Since this does not contain any sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfates, it’s really hard to get that immediate “lather” that you’d get from something like dove shampoo, for example. That does NOT mean this doesn’t work. If you put it on a loofa or washcloth to use as body wash, you will see it DOES lather, but it’s just harder to do in your hair since you have to scrub pretty deep. Here is how you should use this as shampoo: • Scrub-In, Scrub-Out Method: — Get your hair VERY wet, and I don’t mean a quick rinse, I mean you need to make sure your hair is soaking wet all the way to your scalp. — Get the amount of product you want to use in your hand (I’ll be honest, you’re going to end up wasting a bit as you figure out how to master this method before you become a pro at it and get that lather on the first try. Don’t give up.. it takes a couple washes to get it down. Start with a typical amount, and the first few times you wash, you might need to get a couple extra smaller pumps to really work it in and reach the lather). — With your hair + scalp SOAKING wet, scrub it between your hands a couple quick times, then SKIP the outer layer of your hair. Use your fingers to dig through your hair and scrub it directly against your scalp. I always get the quickest lather when I just go straight for the scalp on the underside of my hair/above neck. — Scrub until it lathers, and then quickly start to move your hands up and cover more area. You STILL need to be scrubbing your scalp.. the hair will come in naturally as you focus on this. — Eventually, your whole head will be lathered, and then you can “scrub-out” which is pretty self-explanatory :-) I saw a lot of reviews before I purchased this complaining that it did not lather. Well, it’s not formulated specifically to do so! Lol. That’s why this is a safe product! I’ve been using this for body wash everytime I shower (and also sometimes use it for shampoo) for 8 months now, and I’m still not even through the first bottle. It’s very long-lasting and absolutely worth the price, even though it is more expensive than you might want. It’s safe, and that’s what you care about if you’re gonna buy it. I will absolutely never switch brands again. Their products are truly great. And they all smell AMAZING. Very accurate to the scent descriptions :) I have this product in citrus and the hand soap and lotion in lavender. I love them both!!

happy with this tox -free soap- for whole family. works good as a light bubble bath too. have been using for years - does not leave any irritation and soft, moisturized skin. cleans all the grease and dirt you'd expect with no harsh ingredients. no color. light lavender scent.

I do like the product and the fact there is no garbage in it. The size is great and will last my kids probably a good 6 months unless my youngest decides to dump the whole bottle. I do like the scent, not overwhelming and gets the job done. I do think for this specific scent it is more pricey than other scents, hence the 4 stars.

I love good soaps. My girlfriend has sensitive skin and she uses this brand, so I thought I'd pick some up for myself. Before, I was using Dr. Bronner's sugar soap, but after using this I have noticed my skin to be substantially more smooth with less flaking in general. Ingredients are very clean. No added fragrances or irritants. At 64 ounces of soap for about $20, the price is also very good when compared to other 'higher quality' soaps.
