Well, THAT was a good purchase! These crossbars are well designed for their use. Lightweight and strong, you can use them nearly any size bed. I happen to use them to create a removable bed in my Mercedes van. They worked perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for a better product for this project.

I was a little hesitant that the brace would as well as the original part. It fit perfectly and was very easy to install.

This is the worst Amazon product experience I've had. This item was completely defective to the point where I thought someone had super glued it, causing it to not expand. I have had this bed and used this expander for well over a decade. I lost the expander during a move and decided to order this one. It DID NOT EXPAND. As I said before, we thought it was super glued. It should expand easily - it did not. Either it was rusty or something else weird was going on. In addition, I told this to the seller and they said I just have to return it. It was delivered in the bubble wrap. The return said to return it in the original packaging, which it this point was completely destroyed. Then, I took it to UPS saying that it came in bubble wrap, to which they said "no, we can't send this in bubble wrap. It will be $19 to rebox." So essentially, i would have received $7 back for an item I paid by $27 for... Because it was defective. Do not buy from this seller. 0 stars. Go straight to IKEA.

Matched with the bed hardware will work for my transit bed

Pretty good replacement for the ikea galvanized metal beam that I got, but this works well. However the wooden slats aren’t completely fitted there and it falls beneath the beam.
