Don’t overthink, just get it
My wife delayed getting this for over a month. She knew this was the one she wanted, but she’s frugal, and attempted several DIY methods before catching this one on sale. There’s a learning curve with all bead spinners and she had struggled with this using the DIY versions. She just opened the box today, and between the cup shape and the adjustable speed, within minutes she had the hang of it and made a pair of seed bead bracelets. The time and effort saved made it fun again. The design of this spinner is extremely well thought out, from the reversible spin directions to the smooth removable cups, to the fine control of the speed. Even the cap which can be used as a funnel shows extra thoughtfulness in design. Some people have felt a lot of beads were required but by using the smaller cup my wife had no problem with about 2 thimblefils of seed beads. The needles definitely look like they have a weak point. They weren’t forged from one piece, and the wire of the eye looks pretty delicate. It’s easy to think it will fail if tugged on very hard. But it also looks like the thinner wire could be replaced. If and when our needles break, I’ll update if I can figure out a hack to repair them. (The cost of simple beading needles offends my wife down to her very soul.) Anyway, my wife encourages fellow beaders not to overthink it like she did. If you’re wondering “Is it worth it?” And “will it really save that much time and effort?” The answers are yes and yes. My wife says it allows her to spend more time on design or enjoying the finished product. Update: the wire pulled out of the back of one of the needles after about a week. We continued to use it without the eye, finding that 0.5 mm or 0.6 mm elastic string could easily be threaded into the opening of the hollow needle and worked well. For thicker thread, we reinserted the wire and it held in place. It could probably be glued, but this might make it harder to replace if and when it breaks. We tried to replace it with 26 gauge wire, but that size wire is too thick for the needle to accommodate both ends. A twist eye with one long end of the wire inserted into the needle worked just fine. I suspect 30 gauge and possibly 28 gauge wire would fit both ends. I should mention that the rest of the needle seems to be stainless steel and seems quite durable, which is why I’m trying to replace the end wire. The ideal solution might be to thread a big eyed beading needle into the long hollow shaft of this beading needle. Again, gluing or crimping the end might help it stay in place, but could pose a challenge if the eye needs replacing.

Great but needs a lot of beads
This was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my 10 yo daughter but a few weeks before, she got an order for 20 bracelets (pictured), so I gave it to her early to help her get them done. It works great and makes it a lot easier to string heishi beads but just know there are 2 caveats (but the spinner is still totally worth it)… First, there is a bit of a learning curve if figuring out how and where to position the beading hook amid the spinning beads. But it’s not hard to figure out, my 10 yr old got it just as fast as I did. Second, as others have said, you need a good amount of beads in the spinner for it to work really well. The less beads in the bowl, the longer it will take to hook them. So if you’re only planning on making one bracelet out of a certain color combo of beads, you’ll have a lot of the mix left over when finished, because if you only load in enough beads for one bracelet, it will taken forever to hook them, if at all. Luckily I have one kiddo who loves sorting objects into groups, so when my daughter was ready to switch to a new combo, her little sister took the leftover mix and separated all the colors back out so we could store them back in the grid boxes. But honestly, if you make a lot of bracelets, this spinner is a requirement.

Great little thing
Bead spinner is a lot of fun and works really well. The needles and elastic string that come with it...that's another story! Not good quality at all. Both needles broke rather quickly. The string also breaks if you pull too hard which isnt the case with magic stretch.

Bead spinner good, needles bad.
The bead spinner works well but the needles are junk, thus the reason for only 3 stars. (Both broke the same day.) I would suggest for anyone buying this to go ahead and purchase additional needles.

Not efficient
Doesn’t really work. Takes forever for beads to go on.

My daughter really liked this for her beads/bracelet making but one of the needles snapped after only a couple of days…she doesn’t use it so much now 😥

It was so nice it works very smoothly and fast and you can adjust the speed and rotation from left to right.

Well packed. Delivered on time. It’s beautiful, sturdy and serves its function. I wish it comes with thinner needles so that I can bead smaller beads but just a minor problem. I bought thinner ones from other shop and works well, too. My daughter loves it and we can use it together.

great spinner but needles broke right away with the first one i bought, these lasted! make sure to buy replacements though, they don’t last forever, works amazingly, you just have to have the right amount of beads in and make sure you’re spinning the way you’re putting the needle in.
