Excellent. Works just fine. My problem was the rubber, though
Replaced the old electronic sheet on my Roland (tk 40?) hi hat pedal thing and works great. My actual problem was the rubber piece, so replacing this didn't quite fix the problem, but I had messed up the old electronic with a hack (shoved paper and cardboard under the old rubber). That was before I realized the rubber piece was the issue. it's good that I had ordered this replacement because I broke the old one. I think this one sticks out a little more than the other one at the place it plugs in, but it works, and that's what matters.

Helped Fix My Roland V-Drum FD-8 Pedal – Works Perfectly
This sheet sensor helped fix my Roland V-Drum FD-8 pedal and it works perfectly now . My hi-hat pedal had become unresponsive and inconsistent, and after troubleshooting I realized the sensor was worn out . This replacement part was exactly what I needed, and once installed, the pedal immediately started registering inputs accurately and consistently again . The installation was straightforward if you have basic technical skills and are comfortable opening up your pedal . The sensor fit perfectly into the FD-8, and the quality feels comparable to the original Roland part . The trigger sensitivity is spot-on—it responds smoothly across the full range of pedal motion, from fully open to fully closed hi-hat positions, with no dropouts or erratic behavior . I have been using it for several practice sessions and gigs now, and it has been rock solid with no issues . At under $12, this is an absolute steal compared to buying a new pedal or sending it in for professional repair . It saved me from having to replace the entire FD-8, which would have cost significantly more . If your Roland hi-hat pedal is acting up or not registering properly, this sensor replacement is worth trying before investing in a new unit . Highly recommend for anyone doing DIY repairs on their V-Drums setup .

Not Compatible with Roland TD-1
Does not replace the sensor on a Roland TD-1 pedal. Were they just guessing when they wrote the description? What a waste of time.
