The Stampa Classico Black Edition coffee presser is mechanically rotated from high-strength aircraft aluminium in the form and then black anodised. Espresso tampers, or also called tamper, are in the classical Espresso preparation as an important component. In order to build up sufficient pressure in the portafilter and the espresso does not pass too quickly, pressing the Tamper compresses the ground coffee in the portafilter.

Lovely high quality item. Fits Gaggia Carezza Deluxe.
I use this for my Gaggia Carezza Deluxe, it's the only one I found that fits perfectly. I also love how it's about a 3rd of the price of a lot of other tampers. It has a lovely smooth matte finish and feels like a high quality item.
