LEPA beats Cooler Master in every way but one...
I decided to purchase this item because of the additional features it offers versus the Cooler Master XSlim (R9-NBC-XSLI-GP) model, for the same price. I currently have a Cooler Master XSlim that I use for my other computer and have been very happy with its performance, but LEPA has won me over! Overall I am impressed with the quality and features offered by this new company. Cooler Master better take note of their new competition. Here are some Pros and Cons of this product:Pros:-Unlike Cooler Master, this laptop cooling fan is ergonomically designed for the user, it provides a contoured palm rest that makes typing on it way better.-LEPA provides a variable fan speed control button from 800-1300rpms and allows you to turn off the fan without removing the power cable from your computers USB port (Cooler Master has neither of these two options). This is great for conserving battery life but keeping your laptop cool.-This fan also comes with a blue LED light also with its own on/off switch. This has nothing to do with performance but is aesthetically pleasing at night time.-LEPA has two USB ports, Cooler Master has no USB ports but has a pass through USB. Although LEPA requires you to use one of the two USB ports to power the fan. So both essentially only have 1 USB port for other accessories. But I like that LEPA provides the USB ports in the design of the cooling fan, itself.-LEPA provided extra stick-on rubber stoppers to stop your laptop from sliding off the metal mesh when the cooling fan is slanted for writing and viewing. This is my number one complaint with my Cooler Master.-LEPA's patented tri-position tilt design is just fabulous! Even on the tallest setting the legs are sturdy and don't seem like they will break off.-LEPA is more durable and of better construction than Cooler Master. Even when using the cooling fan on your lap, you don't have to worry about it breaking or damaging the fan.Cons:-Cooler Master beats LEPA in the fact that the power supply cord is actually attached to the fan permanently. LEPA offers underbody cord storage but uses a power cable that is not directly attached to the body of the fan. Meaning one end of the USB cable must plug into your computer/power source and the other end must be plugged into one of LEPA's USB ports. Thus, causing the power cable to stick out on the side of the unit and clutter up your desk. Still, this is not a major flaw when you consider the superior performance and construction of LEPA over Cooler Master.-The small plastic grips that hold the USB heads in the USB storage spot underneath the fan are weak and easily break. Mine broke the first time using the product. Still, not a decision maker for me when I go to purchase another cooling fan.Concluding thoughts:Hands down LEPA is the way to go and Cooler Master comes in a close second. If you are looking for a well performing and long lasting cooling fan for your laptop, I recommend that you give LEPA a chance. Hopefully as the company grows, they will offer smaller versions for smaller laptops.

A Cool Experience in Cooling
The Lepa Lepad Notebook Cooler V17 is an amazing cooling pad that delivers a great cooling experience compared to other well-known pads. Although the airflow that is produced by the fan appears to be on par with other pads, the distribution across the top material that the laptop sits upon proves to be cool to the touch - enough so to bring temperatures down from 50°C to about 44°C on my 17" laptop. The adjustable fan speed and LED switch also add to the convenience and customization, allowing the user to tweak the options to their content. Despite all the amazing features of this pad it does fall short in some areas that potential buyers should consider. On the top of the pad there is a space on the bottom that is solid with the company logo which stops any airflow from being pushed toward the bottom of the pad and as a design choice it seems odd that about 10-15% of the surface of the pad would be taken up for either the logo or to be used as a palm-rest, which is rendered useless by most laptops because they will sit on this area - my 17" laptop covers the entire pad and hangs over the sides by a small amount. The other issue I had with this pad was that there was nothing to hold onto my laptop. If you plan on working on anything other than a flat surface you may want to purchase something to grip onto your laptop. While using my laptop, I often found that it kept sliding around on the pad over time and occasionally on some surfaces the laptop even fell off the pad. Aside from a couple of annoyances, this pad is a cool solution for a great price and for that reason it succeeds where other pads most often fall short.

Cool breeze
I have only had the Lepa Lepad for a few days, but I can tell you it is thin, light, inconspicuous, quiet, and the height is perfect. The Lepa has an on-off switch for the blue light, and dial for the fan speed. You can't hardly get all of that in a bundle. The Lepa has one (1) fan, not two like some others. It also takes up little space. My laptop fits perfectly, and there is no slipping, sliding or rattling. The USB is in a good location, with a perfect length. I had other coolers, and the USB cord is too short to reach the other side of my laptop. Initially I was hesitant to purchase the Lepa, because I figured one fan might not do the trick--wrong, the one fan does a great job. I have a HP DV6T-3000 laptop, which is typically known to run hot and shut off. My DV6T has not overheated once, since I have used the Lepa. BTW I still don' t know the purpose of the blue light, which seems to be just an added feature. Maybe it is for a calming affect IDK. I looks nice, but actually you can't see it lol, unless you have a see-thru laptop. Again, so far so good. I am actually impressed!

Lepa is Cool...
LEPA is a new company for me to buy from and this cooling pad is a work of art. It’s the piece de resistance for keeping your laptop or notebook from overheating. Elegantly designed, it features variable speed controls for the fan and uses an USB connection on the unit itself which alleviates some of the strain put on permanently attached cords. There’s a superfluous LED light that you can switch on and off, only emitting a glow you’re able to discern from the bottom in the dark. The fan itself is powerful, keeping a laptop cool that’s prone to run hot, its own internal fan has yet to engage, which it customarily does when using lesser cooling pads. Well done, LEPA.
