If there are 10 races, why only tickets for 8 of them????

The vast majority of race nights show eight races, although some people like to have an auction race at the end of the evening to raise further funds and for this reason we provide a ninth race on the DVD should you not have the auction on race eight. You then have to have an extra race so as the races can be chosen at random in any order as you must always have one extra race so as on your final race you have at least two races to choose from to comply with the legalities of holding a race night without a licence.

how do you set the odds for the horses on the night

If there are 8 horses in a race. You charge £1 per bet. Add all the bets up for each horse - say it comes to £80. We say £40 charity - £40 winnings. How ever many winners have bet on the winning horse then divide 40 by number of winners and that's the return. No odds but you do need to keep a record of how many people bet on each horse per race

Can you rename the horses? Are they referred to by number or name on the video? Its a fundraiser so I thought we could pre sell horses and name them..

Ciommentary of the races is by number. Always 8 runners in every race. 'Number 5 leads from number 7 followed by number 3' enabling you to give the horses your own fun names to add to the fun.
