Avantree Slumber - Bluetooth Pillow Speaker with White Noise

I love this speaker. I've tried others that weren't contained within a pad, such as this one, and those quickly had failure points where the wires attached to the speaker. The pad on this model provides additional protection and support that so far has prevented any wear and tear on the wires. Another common failure point is the aux port. If you sleep fitfully, your tossing and turning can cause stress on these ports. However, this provides the option of connecting via Bluetooth, which completely negates that danger. I had to buy an additional adapter for my older laptop, but it connects just fine with that. Additionally, this comes with some nice bonus white noise/sleep music tracks. Not only that, but you can easily add or remove tracks if you don't like what's provided. You could even put death metal in to rock yourself off to sleep, if you're into that. The volume is much more than I need. You can turn it up real high, and the audio can be heard without laying your head against the pillow, or down real low to lull you off to sleep. The built in equalizer is decent, and makes sound sound natural and not tinny, like a lot of other similar products. I've also tried other products that are battery powered, but I prefer this style that is plugged into an external power source at all times. Just be aware that my older laptop couldn't properly power it, I use a power brick (like a cell phone charger) and power strip that powers it fine. This is a little bit of a pricey purchase, especially when you look at cheaper alternatives, but so far this is definitely the best sleep speaker system I've found. I use it with a purple pillow placed underneath the pillow, which is latex and foam or something like that. It's a heavy, thick pillow, and the speaker sounds great going through it. I highly recommend this product.

I've been trying to find a better solution than sleeping on my phone. This one gives 3 options. Bluetooth, aux, and built in sounds. Bluetooth works great, stayed connected for 8 hours. For anyone who thinks this isn't loud enough you're nuts. I place it under the sheet, under my pillow and the volume is at like 25%. This is a sleep solution. When placing under the pillowcase (like recommended) and 100% volume, you can easily hear it across the room. This is a sleep speaker. Audio quality is plenty good enough, its not designed as "high quality dynamic range" and that's okay, it has tiny speakers. At this point I'm testing for longevity.

if you're looking at these things, you know exactly what you need it for. These work GREAT for giving you the music or whatever you need sound for without waking your partner. We use ours inside the pillow case UNDER the pillow, which is great because it allows you to move around and the foam of the pillow helps disperse the sounds so no matter where you go throughout the night, you'll have your music. the one thing I really dislike about these is the stupid control puck. There is NO reason to have such an obnoxious, difficult to deal with, oddly shaped puck on such a short cable! this could be replaced with a slim, inline control less than 1/4 the size of the puck, with a MUCH LONGER CABLE. this is why I am giving it 4 stars. Longer cable, cleaner control puck, then 5 stars.

This pillow speaker has been such a life changer for me. I’ve been living with tinnitus for about 6 years or so now and went from listening to my phone under the pillow, to a rechargeable headband speaker thing, to this which I purchased Jan 2024. The Bluetooth is super reliable and has never disconnected, and the volume is widely adjustable making it perfect for tinnitus masking or listening to audiobooks in bed. It is very flat and comfortable, hardly noticing it’s actually there. I place the speaker in my pillow case, underneath my pillow and it stays very well, hardly needing to be adjusted once it’s in there. I have used this literally every single night since I got it, including bringing it with me when traveling; I have definitely gotten my use out of it and it’s still holding up fairly well. Unfortunately I think my partner accidentally tugged my pillow forgetting it was in there which has caused some of the wiring to come loose as I have to wiggle the cord near the remote base to get full audio sound coming from one of the speakers. I would absolutely buy this again and keep my current one for travel.

Sound is good, volume control is good. The problem i have is that Bluetooth keeps disconnecting over and over and over. It just came in today and i tried it right away. It is fast to setup, and connecting Bluetooth is very easy. The PROBLEM is that it keeps disconnecting. I bought it because of Bluetooth... without it working i have NO use for it. I will be returning it right away. Ill keep using my Bluetooth earbuds in bed. I was so looking forward to getting this, but sorry it is a letdown.

Update to original review below: This was a great under pillow speaker, until speakers stopped working at about 6 month mark, there is a crackling sound on any setting. Such a disappointment, had hoped for a longer lifespan especially with the price tag of this item. Still looking for the perfect pillow speaker. Being generous with 3 stars for how nice it was while it worked. Original Review: I have tried many pillow speakers (audiobook addiction and a husband), this is the only one that I can actually hear from under my pillow! I never liked the ones I have to sleep on directly and have cycled through several. If you need an under pillow speaker that is actually loud enough to hear from under your pillow, this is the one.

Bought it for the wife because sound of my CPAP kept her awake. She sleeps like a baby now. Easy to use, stays on all night, does not run out of power.

After having this speaker for some time now, I love it. One of us needs light and sound to sleep and the other dark and silence, this product bridges the gap. I can use it with my phone on a stand charger at night brightness all the way down and volume up enough I can hear it but my partner cannot. My only complaint is as I try and lessen things in the bedroom as I sleep I wish I could direct connect my phone to instead of Bluetooth only option, but this has no bearing on how great this product is and how much we love it! Recommended it a friend with the same issue and she came back raving to me about how great it was for them.

Mio figlio quasi maggiorenne, ha iniziato ad addormentarsi con il cellulare nel letto, a volte anche in carica. Lui afferma che lo usa per prendere sonno…Sapendo però del pericolo che rischia facendo così, ho iniziato a fare una ricerca per trovare un prodotto che potesse essere utile per lo scopo. Ho acquistato il slumber … avrei voluto prendere l’ultimo modello ricaricabile ma ahimè non è ancora disponibile. Comunque mio figlio è molto soddisfatto. È molto facile ed intuitivo da usare. Lui mette il cellulare in carica lontano dal letto e con il bluetooth condivide con il slumber quello che vuole ascoltare… avendo il timer si spegne automaticamente, dandogli il tempo di addormentarsi come gli piace fare, senza nessun pericolo. Per un suono migliore si pone nella federa ma sopra il cuscino. Può essere scomodo per alcuni, ma mio figlio è contento.

Went from earphones, to sleepmask to this. Not going back, this is perfect. Great sound, multiple options, stays plugged in so doesn't run out of juice at 4 am, it's absolutely perfect for sleeping playlist . The included sounds are ok, will listen sometimes too.

This is better than I expected. The sound is very good and I appreciate the volume control. I've tried its bluetooth and aux in functions, both work well. Being able to copy sounds onto the Slumber itself is really nice too, its very convenient. Also I like that it draws power from mains, I don't have to worry about charging batteries. The only odd thing is that some of the sounds that come pre-installed on the device are not good for looping, some fade in/out giving an interrupt in the pattern. However that is easily resolved by replacing the sounds with your own, so I consider this a non-issue. I'm a very light sleeper and worried the feeling of the "bumps" of the speakers would hinder my sleep. But they are only slightly noticeable, and to be safe I got a large flat pillow for this, large enough that the speakers rest above my head and not directly under. Very happy :)
