SSL Satellites Multi Way Cable TV Splitter (4 Way)

After purchasing this splitter, discovered that I could change the programming of Sky+HD box to only use one input, so the second cable from the dish goes directly to the TV (Freesat).I always (wrongly) assumed that Sky box needed both inputs to receive all channels.....turns out they're just duplicates (to allow simultaneous recording/viewing)

The pack contained all necessary parts to connect a Sky receiver and another such box to a given pair of satellite output cables. I used it to connect a Freesat device with my Sky box, all parts including extension cables, junction fixtures, even cable grips supplied to make a good looking job work well, I am delighted and would recommend this to anyone, note also a very keen price!

Not untill the purchase is recieved, then cable ends are not secure although the adverised spec., susggested sealed ends. In fact these are loos ends, i.e. the 'F' the head is loose on the cable end. When making my complaint to the seller, then a further explanatio (not given in the adverisement) thats identifes the cable and 'F' type scew head are supposed to sealed itself onto the cable when attampting the attached to a device. Trouble is they seal, the 'F' type head commes off.Annoyingly I'm expwcted to pay the cost of sending the ill adverised item to the seller. What an injury. Anyway purchase elsewhere on Amazon where their cable ends are bonded/sealed.

They are very easy to install but maybe I'm doing it wrong.They only allow one receptor (Sky box or TV with freesat) to work at a time, but not both at the same time. That was really the reason I bought them for. If what I want isn't possible then that wasn't clear to me at the time of purchase or even now to be honest.If I'm doing something wrong, please let me know.

This is a sturdy well made product which does its job in an efficient manner in my case to allow me to connect Sky tv and aFreeview / Freesat box to a single input socket.I have not noticed any loss of quality in reception as a result of this type of connecrion, but I would recommend that your signals be of sufficient strengthIn order that no losses of signalsoccurs as a result of using this type of connection.Yes, you will still require a satellite dish and an aerial for your freeview reception.

I wanted two sources for my bedroom through the one cable (Broadband and TV) This has worked an absolute treat and I haven't had any problems with this. Price is also very good compared to what the big companies would charge you to have two sources.

The item was delivered complete with cables and connectors.No problem splitting input signal beween two decoder boxes.

After attaching the splitter to the sat inputs on the receiver, I attached an Electrosmart easy fit satellite amplifier booster with patch lead to the main line, with the unsplit sat signal entering this booster. This means that one can watch one channel whilst recording another or record two simultaneous (HD) broadcasts. Picture perfect.
