i am a beginner hobby welder. this will definitely get me to practice more. handy little unit.- does not come with rod- use a real helmet the included shield is pretty fragile.no i did not clean up the metal beforehand. 6013 3/32 rod on highest setting. 120v unit.

Well it didn’t last to long . I was welding some metal on a trailer I’m building and it no longer works . I guess I have to reset it by hooking it up to 220 volts . Not comfortable about that but will give it a try . Other than that it worked fairly well . The only thing I could say is the heat might damage the tip over time so I think the basic stick welder would last longer. There’s just to much heat and the machine isn’t built to last , it just might get you out of a jam but that’s it

When we are traveling to work on or pick up cars and car parts hours away with the flatbed, we never know what condition it might be in or what we may be doing. I really like the portability of the handheld welding. I have several welding machines but some of them are just too large to take along or even fit in my flatbed tool chest. This is the perfect size, it’s so easy to use. It’s a nice light weight welder that’s convenient to take on the road. The guys in the shop have welder envy.

It’s ok still playing with it.

This is second one i purchased, the first one was $15.00 less and came with half a dozen rods and thick white gloves. This one had neither?

I have received the product as I expected and I loved it.

The media could not be loaded. The trigger broke after third use, before that was completely satisfied
