How are ceramic coatings different than traditional car wax?

Ceramic coatings refer to detailing products containing silicon dioxide (SiO2). This chemical bond has been proven more durable and found to offer better protection than traditional car waxes, which come from natural sources.

How long do Formula 1 ceramic products last?

Durability is impacted by a number of factors including how much you drive, how frequently your car is exposed to rain or washing, and how you store your car (uncovered vs garaged). Wash+Wax is least durable & the liquid formula is most durable.

Do I have to wash my vehicle before applying?

Yes, we recommend washing and drying your car prior to using Formula 1 ceramic coatings. This would not be necessary before using Ceramic Wash+Wax, which will leave a thin layer of ceramic protection after each wash (perfect for maintaining coating).

Are these products easy to use? Do I need tools?

Formula 1 ceramic products are very easy to use and do not require any tools or prior experience! All you need is Formula 1 and a clean rag to get the job done.
