Works great to fix stick drift, no soldering necessary
Worked very well for its purpose. NOTE: To fix the drift issues, I only needed to remove the tiny white plastic piece with the little spring inside the potentiometer (see photo) and replace it with the ones in my controller. I DID NOT HAVE TO SOLDER ANYTHING This set is great, because it comes with several extra just in case I need to fix it again in the future.

Works perfectly
I used this to replace some analog sticks on a PS5 controller almost a year ago and they are still working like the controller was new. A little tricky to install, but if you have a decent desoldering tool and a nice iron, then it goes fine.

You may not need to solder if you're having stick drift issues
I bought these by mistake thinking they were hall effect sticks. I was hesitant to continue with my project to fix my left stick drift, until I saw a YouTube video called "How to take apart your ps5 controller and fix Stick Drift" from a channel called Restore Technique. In the video, it shows that these sticks have these small circular discs on the x and y axis that could be the root cause of drifting, possibly due to a lubricant that was added that got mucky. The video showed how to carefully remove and clean the disc with alcohol, but instead I went ahead and swapped the discs from one of these to the one already soldered on, and everything seems to be working fine now with no soldering needed. I will repeat the step on my second dualsense hoping it also won't require soldering. The 4 star is due to the fact I had believed I was buying new parts but there were signs that this product had been recycled (some of the prongs that go into the motherboard were slightly bent and there was some slight scuffing) but it is a good value, assuming you are having the exact same issue.

Perfect replacement for originals
One of our PS5 sticks started behaving wonky - the feel was off, and it would drift or register poorly. Rather than replace the whole controller I decided to try replacing the joystick units. This operation requires proficiency in delicate opening of the case and desoldering/soldering delicate electronics. Do not attempt this if your soldering skills aren't up to it. If in doubt, read the instructions on ifixit before proceeding. Be warned that there are at least two versions of the controller. There are instructions for both, and if you find yourself forcing or breaking anything then you may be looking at the wrong one.

Not working properly
Installed one on controller.. took a while with tools I have. doing deadzone test, the stick is locked 100% on x axis and only registers up and down movement. did some troubleshooting but couldn't find a solution. Will try redoing the process to check if just that one potentiometer is defective

THEY DO NOT WORK PROPERLY
I installed them properly but did not fix stick drift. I am still experiencing stick drink on left stick at +4 and right stick at +9. Better than what the old ones but not as close to zero as I was expecting. I already installed them so I cannot return and I am not removing just to return. These should be tested before sold to guarantee quality. I would not buy again that is for sure.

10/10 product, 8/10 installation
Tools are great; replacement joysticks feel great and work well (so far). My left joystick cover was torn up and needed to be replaced. The tweezer tool proved to be really effective, and the magnetic screwdriver was handy. The instructions are straightforward, although I also consulted a YouTube video for visual guidance. Note that not all controllers may be exactly the same with the color of the wiring behind the battery pack. Took me about 20 minutes and I’m normally awful with DIY.
