Are the scissors sharp and the needle threader strong?

I think so I’ve used them quite a few times now and had no issues although I’ve only used the scissors for cutting the thread. I’m happy with the set it’s neat and tidy everything together I’m not disappointed.

Would this take normal spoils of thread?

Dont know what u mean by Normal. However this pack only contains small thread, if u mean medium size or large the answer then will be No as the pack is not big enough.
