Burns Pet Original Complete Dry Adult Dog Food Fish, 15 kg

I have fed my dogs on burns all their lives and wouldn't use a cheaper alternative. They have shiny coats, no digestive disorders and are fit and healthy.I moved to Northern Ireland 2 years ago and until then was able to get Burns from my local pet shop. Unfortunately could not find any local stockists here, so I looked on Amazon's website. It is competitively priced and I have a repeat order for it every 3 months so that I do not run out. It arrives earlier than the delivery date and they have never let me down. I can not recommend this product or Amazons delivery and price highly enough.

I have been feeding Burns Fish and Brown Rice to my Lurcher for quite a while now.I am a qualified Pet Behaviour Therapist and recommend Burns to all my clients. Depending what food their dog was on before, I have seen dramatic results in turning some behaviors round once the dog was changed on to a good quality, balanced, food like Burns.I was briefly seduced away to another brand but found my dog attracted the attention of other dogs to her vulva. I found out her urine was very concentrated!She went back on Burns and hasn't looked back since! She is 13 years old and even the vet says how good she looks!! The Fish and Brown Rice is suitable for seniors but my, very fussy, Whippet loves it too!

Many years ago a friend ate a can of dog food thinking it was goodness knows what - you see, it was in his mums cupboard without a label. That is really the only thought of canine fodder I had for many years, a bit disgusting , stomach churning and somewhat filling. Then, I had to think about it properly..... suddenly I was the only thing in the world of a creature I had rescued, eyes that would melt a glacier and faithful to nearly every command should I wish.... Winalot was my mistaken brain-wave to feed this doting friend, whilst it sustained the bitch for a while she soon often turned her nose up to it and i was left hunting around for a solution without having to raid my larder for her favorite food like bread and cheese...or her raiding it herself. I tried many different brands and then , over a decade ago came across burns fish and brown rice - whilst it may look like other dog food it isn't. As I understand the food was cooked up by a vet and he originally went to delta pet foods based in llandovery, carmarthenshire to process and produce before manufacturing it themselves (delta no longer being involved). There has not been one meal time over those last 10 years when any of the dogs havn't chomped down their brown rice pellets with fish in them.... they even relish as rewards and are handy being dry food. There can't be higher recommendation than that, unless I add that the dogs have not been poorly at all, have shiny healthy coats and don't bark at the delivery driver who delivers the sacks over the 10+ years they've enjoyed! I do also feed them with (welsh border collies) with lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli at times probably because I think it must be boring just eating the same food though i think they don't mind. Amazon rocks for supply with their subscribe & save too.

My dog usually loves this and eats it with enthusiasm and gusto, it keeps her in good condition, other dog walkers often comment about how good she looks and are amazed she is 12! However she wouldn't touch this batch which is unusual in itself for a labrador, my OH threw out the bag but perhaps it had gone off.

The dog food itself deserves 5 stars. It is a high quality, highly rated & scored dog food at a very good price! Only 4 stars though for length of delivery time. It took weeks!

It's dog food so I can't comment on the taste but it is a a high quality food that keeps my beagle healthy. Also, anal glands - don't really want to mention it but if you've got a dog you'll know what I am talking about - I haven't had to take her to the vet to get them cleared since we changed to this food. Buying it on subscription is a great idea too as it gets delivered on a regular basis, completely hassle free.

So I am well aware of dog nutrition and I have always bought hypoallergenic food for my dogs, however, in the summer I decided to try my 2 pugs on raw as I am aware of all the health benefits. Unfortunately the raw feed just wasn't for us and during the summer/autumn one of my pugs skin was getting really bad (I have since put it down to a chicken intollerance). Since being on this food both of my pugs have lost weight and their coats are how they should be and the skin seems to have cleared up a lot on one of them, although it's still not perfect. I don't know why it's taken me so long to buy burns as I used to reccommend it to customers all the time! Well worth the money as you feed less per day than many other brands.

The dogs likje it buit every time I come to buy it it has risen in price by about £3, I can no longer afford this stuff.
