Seachem Tidal Filter 55

This has been working flawlessly for several months on my 90 l tropical tank. Easy to set up, adjust and clean. It is a massive improvement on my previous internal filter and I would have no qualms recommending it to others.

I have been using 2 of the Seachem Tidal 55 for a few months now. They are in my opinion the best HOB filter ever. Large media chamber that is easy to remove and clean, and you can put whatever media you chose inside it. Totally silent with the pump inside the water. Excellent flow with full flow control. If I was forced to find a flaw, it would be it is fiddly to block the skimmer intake from tiny fry. But really, they are in my opinion the best by far, and number 3 is due tomorrow.

Great filter. Really quiet and efficient. Easy to set up. Excellent value for money. So good I've ordered another.

The filter is great at clearing the water but the one I received is making this annoying sound which I don't think it's supposed to so I have contacted the seller to see what they say I love the design and amount of flow from this filer 😁 Edit: it's been a couple more days since setting up the filter and now it seems the noise has become alot more quite so I'm presuming it just needed extra time to sort itself so overall I'm quite happy with my purchase 🙂

Only installed for 1 day so far but I'm very happy with it. Clever design to it, self priming is a huge bonus for power cuts etc. Plenty of space for biological media. Using the matrix media that came with it and some ceramic rings from an established filter. It provides great surface agitation for gaseous exchange. Only 5 watts electrical usage so its 1/3 the consumption of my precious oase filter. Will update if I encounter any issues.

The best filter in the market but this companies what sale on Amazon send me a filter not new . When I check the impaler group I found a lot of dry leaves and the power cable have signs of mulch and algae from different buyer. They maybe change some parts and and send it back . Tidal in general do the most efficient and quiet filter but this one is very loud . I’m paler sound like an airplane , can’t sleep same room even when is set in minimum flow. I return this soon as I can .

Was absolutely brilliant at the start, but over time the flow has become less and less, I’m unable to turn the dials and today it has stopped working altogether - only 10 months after purchase. Extremely disappointing - would have expected it to last longer with how much it cost.

The seachem 55 tidal filter is well made and a sturdy filter. Very easy to set up and install. Its virtually silent in operation due to the fact that the pump is inside the tank. Its easy to maintain as the filter media is contained in its own box for easy lifting out of the filter. Be aware that you will need to add some filter media as it only comes with one filter sponge and a small bag of seachem matrix. All in all a well made and efficient filter I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
