It is an excellent harmonica. Excellent tone and easy to play for its bigger hole. Being a melody player, I am fully satisfied till now. Let me see its durability as it is almost new and my first lo harp.

The sound range of this harmonica is quite high. I think because this is a stepped down harmonica to assist guitar singers wanting to step a song down from G, it might be slightly too low in a traditional range so they jumped it up an octave. If you play in 1st position with a singer who has stepped down from G - you will be playing an octave higher. Quality is outstanding though, lets get that straight

I really like Lee Oskar. I have a full set of Major diatonic keys. They do require more air to blow since the holes are larger, and since the walls are thinner, they require mor precise positioning in your mouth. All of this makes you a better player in the long run.

I've been using Oskars almost exclusively for a long time. I find the action is nice and crisp, and I have no trouble bending at all. The holes tend to be a bit larger making single notes easier for me to find. I just replaced a very nice Hohner Marine Band in Dd with another Oskar. It blew a reed and I can't even get to it to fix it. Oskars are very easy to work on, I can almost always free them up!
