item arrived in good time - packaging totally inadequate and had disintegrated also item had undergone paint damage (though not always the fault of the carrier) However for the price I would not complain, and after touching up with suitable paint it probably looks better than when it left the factory - I would recommend the stand as it is solid and suitable for garden umbrella - so suitable in fact that I ordered and have received a second one to serve as support for new rotary clothes line - of course had to perform same tarting up as the 1st so all is well - suggestion to supplier is "Base Stand Excellent, but do something about packaging!!"

No wonder this is so cheap used for first time today as decking only just finished. Can't keep umbrella up right. It's NOT. A huge umbrella. Quite the opposite. The hole only has one size. So had to use something from another stand. The screw that tightens to keep umbrella upright will only go in a little. Rendering it useless and dangerous as umbrella could fall.

Good stronger unit only problem is it rusted over the winter

This is an okay item. It comes with two poles that somehow connect together (no instructions) and makes a great base for my shoe tree. It does however wobble.

Doesn't fit my umbrella even when bolt tightly done up it's too big. Have to wedge with something else. Only had a fe weeks and looks rusty already.
