Great buy
My son (2 yrs old) loves this set. He carries mario around everywhere. The pipe is hard for him to push up and down because of his little hands but he still plays with it all the time.

The Mecha-Koopa’s are the highlight of this diorama set.
I absolutely love this set. The only reason why I purchased it was for the mecha-koopa figures. The red pipe and bob-bomb are cool!! The Mario figure seems to have new paint detail and is much more vibrant and bright compared to older 2.5 inch Mario figures for Jakks. The mecha-koopa figures are my absolute favorite, I just had to buy two and will probably buy more in the future. I really wish they were sold separately but hopefully they will be soon. They also go very well with Jakks 4 inch Mario toy line. I hope my images help.

My toddler loved this.
After seeing the movie this was the perfect play set to gift my toddler - it was fun and engaging

Fun, but to an extent!
Really nicely painted and designed characters in this set - the Mechakoopa even has articulation for its small size! My kids, however, had a hard time getting the red warp pipe mechanism to move up and down smoothly - it's really quite a bad design as it kind of gets wedged or stuck in there 9 times out of 10. Mileage may vary, but there was some expressed frustration with that part. Other than that, they were beyond excited to be playing Mario!
