Bought a couple recently to pair with a couple I bought in 2018. Physically they're identical, but I did run into an issue setting up the DMX lighting console, as the 2 generations have totally different channel/fixture profiles. I will as the newer lights have a much more intuitive fixture profile than the older ones, but having to have 2 different profiles for identical lights is a PIA.

I use these lights mainly in sound active mode with DMX cables to sync the action. These lights do not "strobe out" like cheaper brands but instead, change with the music giving a wonderful light show. The lights remain cool during operation and take up very little space in the minivan (very important because my sound equipment takes up so much space). I would and will buy this COB PAR light again and JLPOW has tremendous products, the strobes I purchased are still going strong. Honestly I guess I got what I paid for so I’m not too upset. The functionality of the light wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. Was fairly easy to use, although the buttons were confusing until I figured it out. The build quality was pretty solid although the light wasn’t bright at all. I thought I was getting a spot light & I didn’t get that at all

I feel like a rock star. one single light will do the trick. If you are looking for the perfect wash light for your gigs, purchase this light. it is light, doesn't get hot. colors and changing options make this the perfect multipurpose light. We use this as our only light and it can be as subtle as you want or as bright as a club show. Reviews talk about a fan that can be heard...it is a silent whisper at best in complete silence. Only heard it when silent PA system was turned off (PA system board has a fan which is louder) Mountable. We just put it next to our monitor on floor and let it wash away. Only thing I don't use is the auto feature to sync to beat. I feel its too sensitive for our duo. Probably cool with multiple lights and DJ set up. Purchase this

When I attempt to set the dmx address, i can get it to the correct address, but it doen't 'stick' IE, the next time I come back to it it is at DMX 001 again. The small instruction page is worse then useless. If I cant get this solved via google they are going back.

I love this little guy. I was looking for a cheap option to use for coloring backgrounds of interviews. I mostly use the purple setting which to the eye seems a little pink but on camera (WB and Lights set to 3200) the purple is very rich and looks great. No detectable refresh rate up to shutter 1/180, though I haven't used it shooting slow motion or with a higher shutter yet. The fan produces some noise but mics won't pick it up unless they're within a couple feet probably. Warms up but after an hour of being left on still wasn't too hot to touch or store in a bag right away.Not really any cons for something at this price. Complaints though: power cable isn't very long, and the mounting hole is much too wide for a regular light stand so you'd need to rig a clamp or something for it.
