A good strong coffee.
An excellent coffee, strong and very tasty. A terrific purchase for lovers of espresso, and at a fraction of the price of the bigger brands. I reorder this product frequently.

Strong taste, best for those who have travelled and tasted coffee in other countries, as I have. I cannot stand the nondescript flavour of the Dolce Gusto Espresso pods, and when I could not get the Portuguese Sical and Buondi, I went for these. Not as good as my favourites, but better than the local espresso. The only thing - the coffee drips at a much slower pace than when you use official capsules. I can unload the top basket of my dishwasher while waiting.

FANTASTIC - I actually prefer these to the original don't try Gusto Dolce Pods which are really overpriced. These are a great price and good and strong.I find the Gusto Dolce Pods by Nestle are often very weak and watery. Wish I had used these ages ago!

Not a real espresso
Disclaimer: I'm Italian and as such I'm crazy about espresso. As I was not satisfied with the taste of the original Dolce Gusto Espresso pods (6g) and Dolce Gusto Espresso Ristretto ones (7.5g), and having read some positive review about these compatible Bicafe pods, I decided to give them a go.Unfortunately they are much more watery than the original ones, despite containing a similar amount (7g) of coffee ground, which should be enough for a decent espresso.I've opened both the Dolce Gusto and the Bicafe pods to find any structural problem with them, but both have exactly thew same structure (a first layer of aluminium foil followed by a second layer of plastic film that should keep the coffee ground under pressure), nonetheless the final outcome is much watery than the original. If you like Italian espresso or strong coffee in general, these pods are not for you. If, on the other hand, you don't mind a bland flavour and would like to save some money (one box with 16 of these pods costs about £3, compared with £4.30 for the original ones), then you may want to try them out.

OK coffee, rubbish pods
The coffee wasn't bad, but for some reason the pods and my (fairly new) Dolce Gusto machine just didn't get on - they spurted all over the place. If I didn't stand and hold the cup right up to the nozzle, I ended up with coffee all over the counter top. I've never had this problem with genuine DG pods. Would certainly not buy again.
