This is the best espresso machine I’ve had. Super simple and makes great coffee. When you make the espresso, it has the creama on top, which is what you want and which most less expensive espresso makers can’t do. The foaming mechanism works incredibly well and snaps in and out, so you can leave the canister in the refrigerator for the next time you use it. What I like best was, a problem developed about six months after I bought the machine and the company helped me troubleshoot and when that didn’t work sent me a replacement maker. Great customer service.

I really like the touch screen over buttons as I’ve had buttons before on appliances they can break easy. The lattes I’ve made the past 2 days are AWESOME. I only drink one cup made with a Keurig copy every day but for the past two days I’ve had two double lattes. They taste great even though I am using cheap espresso beans at 2 pounds for $13.I have to say I’m a little nervous now as I just saw a similar auto espresso maker go down another $40 for cyber and I alnost got this one instead of the mattinata when it was $10 less. Now it’s $50 less, cheaper than the same model without the milk frother, but ….. it has buttons rather than the touch. I LOVE this touch screen and I didn’t think I would like it so much when I was deciding which to purchase on Black Friday. I didn’t expect price of the other machine to go down another $40.Howeve, I love the more modern touch screen and will likely keep THIS GREAT MACHINE! Buy it while it’s on sale or you’ll need to wait until Prime Day to get the deal.I’m buying a cyber deal on a vacuum too. Got to love Prime Members deals ! ♥️♥️I

UPDATE: The seller did finally reach out after being notified of this review. They provided instructions on what to try and inserting a 0.2mm needle into the air intake seemed to clear any blockage and the frothing is working again. Note that there is nothing in the manual to try inserting a needle into the air intake in any of the cleaning/deep cleaning. Regardless, at least they were finally responsive and it is working again.Initially I loved this machine and it worked flawlessly. A relatively good cappuccino for a beginner and semiautomatic machine. However, after just 6 months it is no longer frothing milk. I have been fastidious about cleaning everything after use. I have done all of the cleaning procedures indicated in the product manual many times. The machine is making a loud squealing noise when trying to froth the milk. No froth comes out, just milk. Amazon closed return of the product a little after a month of purchase and any product support 3 months after purchase. I have tried contacting the company directly for customer support. There is no phone number to talk to anyone, only their online customer service. I have tried several times and have not received a response. I can only say how disappointed I am overall.

I did a lot of comparisons and research when I decided I must have an espresso machine. This is the machine I decided on. When I first received it I followed the directions to the letter and when I first used it, it worked well. Unfortunately, very soon after that and I do mean shortly the milk steamer did not work. No matter what I did it did not remedy the problem. I really was hoping for the best with this machine, because it fit the criteria of what I was looking for and was within my budget. If looking for an espresso machine I truly hope you have better luck than I did.

I used this a gift to a Resturaunt I visit weekly.It is a backup for when their regular machine breaks down so I have not seen it working yet.

I have had this Mattinata capucino maker for eight months now, and recommend it. The separate milk container is quite functional It is simple to operate. I needed some information and assistance from customer service, and I was blown away by their promptness and responsiveness. One rarely gets this high quality service these days! The only slight drawback is that the coffee is not as hot as I personally would prefer. I get around it by running the machine for one cycle (22 secs) before inserting the coffee to be brewed.

The actual espresso component is really nice. That's why it gets 3 stars. But the milk frother is not well designed. It makes basically 50% foam. Which is annoying but not the reason I decided to return it. The froth literally smells like plastic. I gave it an honest shot for a week but it's just not what I'm looking for. The smell did go away but I couldn't get over the fact that it was moving through a plastic component.You can't control how much milk you get, you can't control how much espresso you get, and it basically makes a cappuccino every time. The latte button is just a bigger cappuccino. Like it literally cannot make a latte.If all you're looking for is an automatic cappuccino machine, and the plastic smell doesn't scare you, then I would actually recommend it. But not if you want it for anything else. Especially lattes.

I was thrilled with this machine when I first purchased it in October 2023. In May of 2024 (approx. 7 months later) the machine stopped dispensing frothed/steamed milk for lattes and started making an odd sound while it brewed. The milk just comes out in a stream (like if pouring milk) and the latte doesn’t look like a latte when finished. This machine quit working correctly 7 months after I purchased it.
