Why it does not work with seagate barracuda - 4 tb internal hard drive, silver,st4000dm004?

I think you mayfind, it is not just this item. But others, the software with some has not been updated yet for larger drives. Hence 1&2Tb is fine, but 4TB is awaiting a firmware update and worth contacting Orico on this

Can i use this for four drives in a array.. and then use them as normal drives for data storage etc?

Yes, this dock will connect up to four SATA drives interdependently to the pc at the same time.

Can you use this to clone your system drive

two scenarios: 1) you have access to the bare system drive & don't need to boot from it- put it in the dock with a blank drive & use the standalone clone tool. one use for this is when you have to build a bunch of identical machines (mac or PC) from a known good disk image. you can do three at once. 2) you are booted from the drive & have a blank in the dock... for this one, you'll need a cloning tool like "carbon copy", which can make a clone while you are still using the system drive for other activities. you can set it to keep the clone up to date (as a backup), a bit like time-machine. I also keep my normal time-machine backup in the dock.

Will each drive have its own drive letter on the pc?

I am not use about PC but on my Mac, it automatically assigned a drive letter. You may need to format the drive for a PC
