These are great if you keep in mind that you will have to put strong adhesive on your product. I love them. I use it to do a triple stack laptop portable monitor setup and it works awesome. The magnets are shockingly strong and hold up a full 16 inch portable monitor.They do not sell replacement or additional metal plates. I messed up and managed to bend a plate and cannot purchase a new one unless I purchase more hinges as well. Also, considering these are magnetic, you could use them with more than one device, if they'd sell you more metal plates. Please sell me metal plates so I can actually use the product.Edit: Upon seeing my review the seller informed me that I was incorrect, as they do offer replacement plates on their website, just not on Amazon. Additionally, they sent me a kit for free even though it was my fault that I bent my plates. Customer service doesn't get much better than that.

This is sturdy in construction, high quality metal, super easy to install, performs as desired and doesn’t add or take away from the appearance of the laptop. I have it on a case and it’s holding the 12 inch iPad Pro. If it leans back too far it’ll fall over since it a lil heavy. But I use it on a desk top and don’t require it to go that far back. What’s in the photo shows how I use it. It works with a case on both the iPad and MacBook.Highly recommend. Thinking about getting another one for my phone.

I really wanted to like this, I was genuinely excited to see how this would work with my MacoBook. When I unboxed and tried to use it, here's what I discovered:* You HAVE to use the adhesive magnetic plates to get the magnetic holder to work. The metal case on the MacBook does NOT have enough magnetism to work. The holder will attach on it's own to other metal surfaces, but not the computer. So you either have to glue metal plates to your laptop, or to a case on your laptop.* The adhesive metal plate has a knob that sticks up. That means the plates will catch on things.* The kit to attach a tablet is just not strong enough to hold the weight of a tablet.* I was able to get a phone to attach with the adhesive plate, however two issues there. If you tip the screem back slightly on a 2023 MachBook Pro, the weight of an iPhone 14 was enough to cause the screen to fall all the way back and not stay up. Only if you keep your screen completely upright will you be able to keep it stable. Also, the wireless charger in their kit does not work through a case. I had to take it out of the case to charge.

The product is great and does what it claims. Just a warning that the adhesive is super strong. I bought this for my MacBook Pro but after about few months of owning the rolling edge, I decided to sell my MacBook Pro back to apple. I wanted to make sure to get the best price so I wanted to remove the rolling edge.It is extremely difficult to remove the rolling edge, at the end I ended but having to buy goo gone, work gloves, and extra fishing line because the one they provide was not enough. I’m a pretty strong guy too and I work out regularly, but I had to use so much force just to get these removed even with goo gone’s help.At the end i spent close to the price of what I paid just to initially on products to just take the product off.If you even think there is a possibility of you selling your device, then don’t purchase this product.

I really wanted to like this and really needed this to work. Unfortunately it has failed. Install was okay. I had to watch some YouTube videos on how to best do it because the instructions weren't the best. The magnets are very very strong for my tablet and so is the stickiness of the tape. And therein lies the issue. When opening my laptop just a little too much the weight of the tablet will pull the laptop backwards. I think "okay not an issue, I will just move everything down an inch or so and it will redistribute the weight s that won't happen." Unfortunately, the plates are NOT easily removed, which the videos and instruction will not lead you to believe. I used the wire that was given too me and while it's unusually long, there is a reason for that. It's because it breaks really easily. Not only that, removing everything bends the metal and you won't be able to make it flat again. And not only that, the stickiness is completely gone, so forget about trying to reapply or reposition it ever again. Once it's on, that how it stays! I think this has the potential to be a great product, but needs to be able to be reused and reapplied. If not, it clearly needs to state that that isn't an option and needs to be more clear of the issues you can have if the positioning isn't more specific. Needless to say, I just returned mine.

This product is a little confusing for me...It's built very solidly, but for Pro and Air MacBook models, it's simply too much weight. Even when just using it with my iPhone. The sticky pads are also very weak, even after cleaning with rubbing alcohol, it eventually came undone.Solid product, held back by weak adhesive.

This is a great product to help with work flow while traveling. My IPad fits perfectly beside my MacBook to allow for dual monitors. The magnets are strong and hold the IPad firmly.

Connected my iPad Air m2 as a second monitor for my M3 Pro. I followed the directions, used the extra strength adhesive provided, and currently use my case fold as an extra support. This also allows me to mount the iPad in the car, as well as my phone directly to the computer for a webcam, or the iPad for not having to keep the damn thing in my pocket while using the iPad.Regardless what you’re thinking, I was skeptical, and really really enjoy it. This is probably my first Amazon review to give you an idea.
