Q: Does the lid lift off so i can pour water inside?

Hi, It doesn't lift off, but it is secured by a zip, so you can unzip it and pour the water in.

Q: Can this product be erected and collapsed multile times and with ease ? So for example to use it , collapse it, transport it elsewhere erect it again

Yes. The poles are the only thing keeping it upright, and they can easily be slipped out.

Q: how does it collect the water? does it have to be attached to down pipe? i am looking for a stand alone water barrel collecting rain water as it falls

if you are using for outdoor id say use a plastic water butt as these are a little flimzy
