I looked at all the reviews on the internet, forum and videos and still wasn’t sure. Then I gave it a shot. At first, trying this pedal at home, low volume, I was not that impress. Sure it got it’s darkglass magic but for 300$, meh! Then I tried it on a rehearsal and wow!!! You want a mean sound and still cut trough the mix with mids and bass, there it is! You want that tube-feel where the sounds distort only when playing the strings hard, you have it! This pedal could be always on with a mild tube like overdrive or used for a perfect mix of bass and distortion. If you don’t have that Kind of money, don’t try to mimic that sound cause only darkglass nailed it, keep looking but you will probably end up like me and click that “order now” window!
