I got this as a life counter for card games. I removed the strap and disconnected the sound wires. Now I can easily keep track of my health during card battles. It's perfect.

I always carry it in my pants pocket, so naturally it ended up going through the wash. When I found it in the bottom of the washer I was sure it was ruined. But I opened it up and cleaned it out with electrical contact cleaner and an air duster and it worked fine, except that the beeper sounded a little anemic. While I had it open I removed the lanyard that I never used and put in a couple pieces of thin styrofoam under the buttons to make them harder to press accidentally. Another improvement I made was to put a drop of superglue on the middle of the + button so I can tell by feel which one I'm pressing.

Do not bother. I bought this to keep track of my scores in Disc Golf. I loved the size and ease of use. After about six or seven rounds it just stopped working. It is cheaply made and built to fail. Hadn't used it more than 5 hours and the audio malfunctioned. Instead of a beep I get what sounds like a rat being stepped on. The screen likes to fade in and out if the battery isn't pushed in all the way, The battery that doesn't last long at all. But it still works just barely

Easy to use and grip on to, but the only reason I gave one less star is because the battery tends not hold in place resulting in warped or softer beeps when you’re counting.

This is a versatile counter great for school bus drivers to count there boarding students as they inter the bus,also great for crochet counting highly recommends this.
